We're in the 2nd intermission and the thread isn't even on page 5. Don't think I can recall a thread like this before.

I think this is the first game of the season I actively want the Sabres to lose. I'd much rather see Washington grab the last Wildcard spot over Detroit , Pit and Philly. That and them shitting the bed in the first period on fan appreciation night would be a feather in the cap of this season.

Is Power's contract one of Adam's worst moves so far? I imagine it's too early to tell and I think he's going to become a really good defensemen. I worry about the psychological aspect for Power and the expectations to perform up to the value of his contract. I really hope that aspect of it doesn't impair his development.

Washington is clinging onto the final WC spot. They should be playing desperate. Can the Sabres play spoiler or have the wheels finally fallen off and we're in the midst of a bad losing streak to close out what has been a wonderful season of hockey?

Any non-mickey-mouse organization would have made a coaching change ages ago. Adams is going to preach consistency, a message that will fall flat. If one were to try to justify bringing them back I suppose you'd focus on areas of improvement? Have there been any bright spots this season? If you listen to Granato he'll tell you our defense is improved, but what does that matter if you've regressed in the standings? If we play around .500 for the rest of the season we'll still end up almost 10 points worse than last year. Is goaltending a bright spot? Anyone with a braincell knew that the 3 goalie rotation was horrible and likely hindered the emergence of UPL. This is more on Adams. The power-play is what doomed this team, and we know we have the talent to be successful. I attribute the poor PP performance directly on the coaching. The only reason from bringing them back is that Granato's extension kicks in next season and Pegula doesn't want to pay another coach to not coach. Again, mickey-mouse.

Maybe win? Coming off a win to start a homestead against one of the few teams worse than us? On paper this feels like a loss. However, a win keeps the faint spark of hope alive as we crawl to the finish line of the season. I predict a win.

Why can't I vote for Comrie?

Don't understand dressing the one trick pony in VO over Robinson and then not having him as on option on the Power Play as his one trick is that of a POWER PLAY SPECIALIST

I irrationally hate this team. How have we not beaten an expansion team at least once? That streak ends tonight! Must Win.

I've been watching Byram playing and I'm loving how he activates to the front of the net. It's upsetting that my first thought is, "I'm not looking forward to watching them "coach" this out of him"

We are 5 & 8 points ahead of the next two teams behind us. It'd take a hell of a lot of losing for those team to make up that kind of ground on us, so there's no point in "tanking". On the flip side, only 4 points separate us and 7 other teams. A meaningless late season surge could bump us from 8 down a few numbers and since we've suffered so much this season I'd rather have a top 10 pick. That being said, I hope that pick is traded for some immediate help. I am so sick of waiting for draft picks to develop and save this franchise.

With EJ & Okie gone the average age of the team has plummeted.
