  1. That's some serious analysis right there. Well done.

    Moulson waived

Not a strange dream... that's what happened. It was reported in the articles discussing the move. Moulson even expanded his list of teams he could be traded to and it didn't help. No big surprise.
  3. I'd be even happier if they got back Neuvirth honestly. I'm not an Elliott fan. Sabres could eat salary on Lehner to move him. I don't think they are interested in him. I think their plan is Ullmark but they don't want him up here until next year so he can backstop the Amerks playoff run. Elliott and Neuvirth are 2.75 and 2.5M. It frees up some space. There's probably enough to squeeze. Perhaps it's Lehner and a pick for a returning goaltender and a D prospect?
  4. Interesting. Neuvirth is on IR. Would the Sabres get Elliott and then put the Elliott/Johnson duo back in action (from Calgary last year). I think they were both there right?
  5. Changed. :w00t:
  6. Given the lack of depth on D he'll be around until the trade deadline when they'll be able to offload him to a cup contender for a 6th round pick in the 2019 draft.
  7. They were out when COL pulled the goalie and then were trapped because of icing. That said... They did a great job. That's why Eichel is out on that EN chance. His speed makes it a threat if COL is careless with the puck and BOOM. Nice game. Make it two now.
  8. Hmmm. Lower atmospheric pressure in Colorado must cause the Sabres sticks to keep going too high.
  9. He was earlier this year for a few games. Didn't last long. And there is the goal. Although that's just MacKinnon being good. Which means he's going to scramble his butt out of position at some point soon and it'll burn the team.
  10. Lehner is not playing a quiet game. It makes me nervous.
  11. Indeed. They are playing much looser in the third. Interesting to see.

    Moulson waived

They tried to trade him. Moulson basically said he'd go anywhere and nothing happened. This is how you treat a guy. I agree with your take and it reflects well on the organization.
  13. Nope. Larsson hits the puck in the neutral zone and before his trailing skate crosses the blue line the other players are able to tag up. It was basically a short delayed offside. Also, you said you weren't watching this one. You lied.
  14. I think MSG screws Ray and RJ on that. I could see that it was clearly plausible that they tagged up before Larsson entered the zone. The first replay angle showed it. Then they went with that closer look focusing ONLY on the puck. Yeah, if that's all you can see then it's offsides. They don't look much better yet. Still a lot of the same plays but they have scored. I like what I'm seeing from 20 and 71 tonight.
  15. Didn't expect you to think that... interesting. Frankly I think it's a huge message. I am sure players both respect and enjoy having Moulson around the team. Coaches pull goaltenders when teams aren't performing well in the hopes of sending a message to a team and it usually works. This is much bigger than that in my opinion. Everyone knows its a possibility but when it happens it becomes really real and now they have to deal with it. Players don't like being shipped around. They buy homes, they make friends, they have families, they become entrenched in the community. When a player signs a contract for 6 years they are looking forward to some stability for a period of time and having that interrupted, while understanding it can happen, is not something they want.
  16. Never underestimate the impact of FOMO on the Buffalo STH.
  17. It doesn't necessarily take much to turn a team around. One only need to look at the Senators to understand just how much changing a component in the locker room can be. Out with Turris, in with Duchene and they've a pile of crap since then. Duchene has added nothing to the Senators team. Meanwhile, Turris is living large in Nashville. The Avs were better for a bit when Duchene left but it seems they've slowed again. I liked what I saw from Fasching the other night. He stated that his mandate was get to the net and he did that, repeatedly.
  18. I'll let you know if you are right.
  19. I'm very curious to see what the team looks like tonight. I want to see what kind of response the team has from Moulson being sent down.

    Moulson waived

Hey.. I looked earlier in the day... but I don't have time to jump in there again... it's a legal document... those are boring and written by dumb ass lawyers :w00t: :flirt: ;)

    Moulson waived

I don't think so. I think Moulson is a popular guy on the team and while players know his skills haven't earned him the shot on the ice at the same time I think they like having him around. He's got a relationship with Eichel from housing him his first year and he has a history with Okposo. I think Eichel and Okposo are going to be very upset that he was sent down. I think the ROR quotes kind of point to that as well. He doesn't have to report per se. He's on the Amerks roster at that point. If he doesn't report they can suspend him but I don't think that will be the case. He may report and be scratched and not actually show up. Who knows. He may also just go down there and play. http://www.nhlpa.com/inside-nhlpa/collective-bargaining-agreement - read all about it.. there are a lot of things in there around circumvention.
  22. One of those moments where being known to have a crappy defense and a problem with team chemistry can make people believe that a goaltender is better than they currently appear? I'll take it. I think Lehner is the first to move. He could be some of the negative energy. He's been that way in the past right? I'd hope he'd get more than Johnson.

    Moulson waived

I would expect that Moulson handles this as the professional that he is known to be. I don't think he's the locker room problem. He makes room for Rodrigues to move up to the team right now. I fully suspect there will be other moves and if you need to have roster flexibility Moulson is the easy first target. The odds of someone claiming him are next to zero. In any event, clearly things are being worked. It might not be at the speed some people want but that speed might not be possible without really screwing the team over. I am sure Kane could be traded within an hour, but the return would not be worth it.
