Agree, especially being a RHD. At least with Borgen, the Sabres were going to lose someone and it ended up being him, whereas they just about gave away McNabb for no readily explainable reason.

It pains me every time I see McNabb ably handling a 2nd pairing role on very solid teams in LA and now Vegas. For the past 7 years... Would love to get someone like him to pair with Power.

Maybe 6 years ago my Mom won a Risto jersey in a charity auction. Not game worn, just a nice replica, white with classic logo. Was a perfect fit for me and I'm her Sabres-loving son...so I got it. 2023: Wear this in public, or not? My thinking is it needs to hibernate until Risto is retired a few years, the Sabres have won a Cup or two, and we can look back at those awful days and laugh.

Crouse is 6'4 220lbs. Couturier 6'3 211 lbs. Casey is 6'1, 199 lbs. I think big guys often take longer to develop. (See: Thompson, Tage). That may or may not be the case but if so, certainly doesn't apply to the very average sized Mittelstadt.

Some situation where a guy is disgruntled for whatever reason, or a team is up against the cap and needs to make a major move. Not these specific guys per se but a Rantanen, Barkov, Point level of player.

Well that’s discouraging. I’ve only seen them on the road in Pittsburgh, MSG, and Boston. Might have won one of two at MSG so I think I’m 1-3 on the road lifetime.

Not only was the trade a fleecing, but Philadelphia doubled down with a 5 year contact extension with a 5.1M average salary. Risto is in year 1 of that deal.
