  1. Only 18 days after mine
  2. This team is so screwed up
  3. Will they get out scored 4-0 in the second period again? Seems like a thing now.
  4. If the Ducks keep up this level of shots on goal I predict a Comrie shutout
  5. This is an endless argument found in all sports...how would todays athletes compare vs. those of yesteryear. Undoubtedly advances in training and techniques, not to mention nutrition if you go far enough back in time, along with the increased $$$ associated with sports and the general advancement of society leading to more intense and earlier sports experiences early on in athlete's careers, would lead to a general improvement in the quality of athletes today vs. the past. However, there are a couple of things not mentioned in the discussion above. One is equipment. If today's hockey players were transported back in time and played with the relatively inferior skates, sticks, goalie pads, arena lighting, etc that was present in the 1970's, 80's etc, it would pull their performance down to some extent. Likewise, if today's hockey players were subjected to the rules as they were written and enforced, and how players were coached, it would also move them towards performance that would look more like the players from that time. The last point is this example is comparing an All-Star team with a college team. I believe that the very best NHL players of any generation (at least say, since expansion) would be able to compete at a high level in today's NHL given all the equipment, coaching, rules changes, etc. Watch Gretzky skate and pass or see Gordie Howe with his shirt off (more ripped than any dude in today's NHL) and tell me they wouldn't be all-stars today.
  6. I think he literally goes back in time and shoots his past self in the head when taking on the Green Lantern role.
  7. Ok time to go to bed. Goodnight folks.
  8. Thank you for clarifying I’m less horrified now.
  9. Putrid power play. Maybe young teams don’t benefit from 9 days off?
  10. Could be both. Hope you feel better soon.
  11. Finding that it’s exciting when they even get a shot on goal. Feels too much like the first period of the Flames game.
  12. Or just throw it on net. 1 shot on goal in 7 minutes.
  13. In addition to Deadpool, I liked him in The Hitman's Bodyguard and Free Guy, both fun movies. Reynolds is also a partial owner of a Gin company in addition to Mint Mobile. Previous to being married to Blake Lively he was married to Scarlett Johansson. So kudos to him for that. I hope he's part of the winning group for the Sens. Would potentially bring some great attention and PR to the franchise and the league.
  14. I love that at the end of the article he says if his career ends when he is FORTY he doesn't want to be just sitting around with nothing to do. He expects a 20 year pro career! I like the confidence.
  15. This is completely correct.
  16. I’m hoping this becomes an annual discussion off the same tweet from 2022.
  17. This was my first thought. Compared to regular season NBA games, regular season NHL games are at March Madness level intensity.
  18. It's whatever I say it is, dammit. lol
  19. You can't take them so literally. It's more about the overall vibe. Lip reading not required.
  20. Guys who start bogus threads to mock others who started threads they deem unworthy.
  21. Beane can’t fire McDermott. They both report directly to Pegula.
  22. Wow, Lehrer-like shootout for UPL
