A busy hectic start to Christmas, stabilized a few patients and they keep pouring in. We are short staffed due to many nurses and other colleagues unable to make the drive in from the city, so we are holding up the best we can with limited resources. Hope everyone else out there is enjoying their holiday and I hope to not see you at work 😊

I am on a stretch of work in the south (near PA) it's very windy and cold, but we are avoiding the worst of it down here. I was thankful that I drove in last night in the rain and just got to the hotel and I'm working through Tuesday. I see that at my house it's - 6 with wind chill of - 30 and I am just hoping that I don't arrive on Tuesday to much damage from the wind/trees. The only major downside is that no other major hospitals are accepting any transfers, we have no staff to man the ICU or hospital for that matter properly. So we're kinda in a tough spot with the real tricky cases.

I simplify it by.... Watching hockey. The world has turned sports into prop bets and ridiculous levels of advanced stats. I could care less what a Fenwick or corsi are, I have zero desire to learn. But every GDT is loaded with charts full of nonsensical blips. Better players, better system= better hockey team with some luck and officiating sprinkled in there a bit.

I was refinishing my basement last month, I was pulling out the drop ceiling to repaint them a bit, go to one middle panel, and a mouse trap with a petrified mouse AND a long Black Gardner snake come fallling on my head. I don't hate snakes, but when they're airborne coming at your noggin, scary stuff 😂 Also, I went to the Galleria yesterday Idk why I felt the need to go to a mall near the holidays....don't do it.. I went to the Jets game sober.... I don't recommend it at all. Not that you need to be completely Sloshed, but having a few helps with the 80k maniacs and crap weather 😂 I calmly sat in the 300s, drinking my Timmy's in the freezing rain, probably part of the reason I left before the half.

Also, this is a large amount of SS population staying up late. Good job

At least the extra 30 minutes have set rules, there are 2 periods of 15 minutes, and it's a free for all. I'm ok with keeping that. After that, then sudden death. I'm also OK with making it Sudden death after 90, anything to get rid of terrible spot kicks.

I HATE HATE, that the championship can be decided on penalty kicks. Add 15 minutes each go, and play until someone scores. That was a crap ending to an otherwise great game (and I don't really like soccer) Good for Messi, now go away. I think France would have won, but it's hard to say, that's why I'm so sad that it has to end like this.
