  1. I will say this, I have dealt with many patients with expressive aphasia and I feel for those. In their mind, they know what they want to say and sometimes even think they are speaking normally. In reality, it's a jumbled mess or just sounds that aren't words; this makes it extra frustrating on the affected person because sometimes it's hard to come to grasps that what you hear in your head are not the same sounds coming out. Anoxic injuries are awful, there's no real path to a finish line, some people do better than other, part of the reason why we didn't know what would happen to Hamlin. Some people do ok with 30 seconds of no oxygen while others can have severe deficiencies after 10 seconds. I am glad she is alive and with us, she will never be the woman she once was and that is incredibly painful to type and swallow, here's to hoping the recovery gets her as close to 100% as possible, hell, even 80% would be a miracle. It appears she's fighting through this and has all the support necessary to help this along, all we can do is wait and keep fighting. It's much bigger than her sports teams at this point, as it should be.
  2. I recall vividly the Sabres and Flyers (I believe) years back... They were tied in the 3rd, a tie got both teams in the dance. They did absolutley nothing, including standing behind the net for what seemed like minutes letting the clock tick away so they got in. So 1000% they think this way in certain game situations.
  3. I will def listen, I'm a bad patient usually as I'm usually able to just take care of the minor things myself, but this is next level. I appreciate the thoughts and prayers.
  4. Thanks! I'll keep things updated, This is way outside of my specialty so I will listen to the neurosurgeon when I see that individual. To be fair, I have lived a pretty crazy life for my age, so these breakdowns are semi expected 😂
  5. 😂😂😂 Negatory ghost rider. My connections are minimal haha, and it's an anterior approach into the neck so my dirty locks can stay intact.
  6. I've been having many medical issues for the last few months seeing specialists, etc etc There was initial concern for MS and other really bad diagnoses, brain MRI showed no lesions but cervical MRI was needed to rule out cervical lesions which are more typical in male patients. Got the MRI today and find that my C5-C7 discs are herniated into my spinal cord, this is most likely causing all of these symptoms mimicking MS. Over the last week, I've been unable to even hold my coffee due to spasms in my arms and other weird symptoms. I may end up having to go the Jack Eichel route of ADR in the cervical area, but won't know until I see the neurosurgeon, it's a relief that the symptoms are tangible with a structural abnormality and not a neuro degenerative disease, but this still sucks to have this before the age of 40.
  7. I was not expecting Dahlin to have a shot over 100 Mph Good for him.
  8. I spent all last week in Quebec and it was unseasonably warm for being late January. We had a couple cold days, but this whole cycle of warmth (global warming, whatever you call it) is awful. My first year really into skiing and the hills have been mostly junk, even next week it's going to be in the 40s, in FEBRUARY IN BUFFALO! I remember February being the longest month ever in the past for it being brutally cold and snowy, now, I may need an umbrella, unreal.
  9. I actually agree with this, I don't think Mixon is a Saint by any means, but the Sensationalism of headlines these days is way out of hand. I still go back to Matt Ariaza and the headlines that essentially had him guilty and essentially cut, just to find out the charges were dropped.
  10. Ugly defense, UPL just looks lacking in his goaltending sense. His size helps him but he's been way off on his reads/angles a lot tonight. This team had checked out for the break. Didn't get to 85%
  11. Your 2022-2023 Carolina Hurricanes..... Let's whoop some "Southern" booty tonight.
  12. Those B2B losses to the Pens. 8 game losing streak. Terrible loss to Philly and then Chicago. If we miss out, the culprits are those listed above. Not that all teams win all of the games they are supposed to, but that would be a real kick in the Nads. Here's hoping none of that matters from this point on.
  13. It was a lose lose on who won. After the smack talk I'm glad to see the Bengals head to cancun with Eli Apple, but I don't really like the Chiefs either. Fans in Philly are also the worst. I'm working on Super Bowl Sunday and won't have much incentive to try and watch.
  14. I hate our coaches so much right now. No creativity at all.
  15. Yes, I am all about fresh, never frozen 🍖🍖🍖
  16. Meh, shootout was blah. I hate deciding hockey games by shootout as much as I hate the penalty kicks in soccer. But at least the NHL scraps it in the postseason. I don't know why we can't do a 10min 5 on 5 and next goal wins or it's a tie. I didn't catch all of the game so I can't comment as much, I found some awesome soup dumplings after the smoked meat so tonight was a festival of eating then soaking in the hotel hot tub. On the the next one, back to the East, time to smoke some fresh baby and pillage all of Raleigh.
  17. Maybe it is a concussion after all
  18. To be fair, I just Googled this when I created the title and that's what it said, I was sort of hoping for espn because then I could maybe stream it easier.
  19. Nice, San Juan. Grab a Sandwich at El Meson, it's fast food there but surprisingly good, also set up on the beach and buy some Gasolinas, carpi sun pouches for adults. They hit ya quick 😂😂
  20. The bill is in Canadian, the credit company automatically converts to whatever the exchange rate is that day on your statement.
  21. I got an Airbnb in Quebec, on Rue St Jean, just 1 block from the old city, it was only around 80$/night for an entire apartment. In Montreal and Ottawa I'm staying at a hotel for a night each using some of my banked Marriott points. In general, I've found Airbnb to be great, especially outside of the US. Within the USA, they have become overpriced and I don't use them as much. But internationally, it's still the best way to go in my opinion.
