I got an Airbnb in Quebec, on Rue St Jean, just 1 block from the old city, it was only around 80$/night for an entire apartment. In Montreal and Ottawa I'm staying at a hotel for a night each using some of my banked Marriott points. In general, I've found Airbnb to be great, especially outside of the US. Within the USA, they have become overpriced and I don't use them as much. But internationally, it's still the best way to go in my opinion.

It was around 9 hours up to QC, I've been here for the week and I'm hitting Montreal and Ottawa on the way home. Montreal for Smoked meat and Ottawa for this cool Nordic Spa and some of the best Lebanese food I've ever eaten at this restaurant called Spice Kitchen.

I'm gonna hit the main street deli across from Schwartz this time and compare the 2. Supposed to be the best in the city.

Yes, deceleration injuries are a very big risk factor for concussions. In layman's terms, the brain has a little space to move around in the skull (surrounded by sheaths called dura) when you are stuck or decelerate rapidly in any area of the head or neck, the brain can shift and slam against those inner shells causing inflammation/bruising which is what a concussion is. Typically concussions don't show up on initial CT scans, those are reserved for intercranial bleeds and skull fractures, etc. That's why clinically concussions can be a bit difficult to identify right away.

I won't lie, this thread is actually more civil than I expected it to be. As a medical person myself, I would face stiff consequences if I was to even firmly speculate let alone disclose any information about a patient. VIP status or not. So it makes it simple, disclosure is up to the individual 1000% and regardless of how we like it, we have to deal with that. It sucks that's she's been out of the public eye for so long, that sadly doesn't bode well for a full recovery behind the scenes, but you'd be amazed at what a year of PT/OT, etc can do depending on the situation and perhaps the delay is because of a rehab program or something similar.

I feel that, giving hard news is awful, only recently, on Christmas, I had to tell a wife that her husband didn't make it. Worst part of the job by far. She punched the wall next to me in agony and frustration, not at anything I did, but because it's hard to get that news, she broke her hand in the process and needed to sign in as a patient. I have zero part in letting employees go, I will never be in that position again.

Nothing like waking up to a Monsoon in (checks calender) Mid/Late JANUARY!! That season pass for skiing is turning out to be a bad investment, this is the funkiest weather pattern I've ever seen in a WNY "winter" Luckily I'm heading to Quebec city on Monday for some skiing and general getaway.
