  1. Maple old fashions are yummy, add a little orange zest, viola. I did the same thing at a market with a fancy hard cider, but I said no, then that misses at the time overruled me because she felt bad.
  2. I actually invent in whole life, a portion each month, it's pretax so I can't write it off, but by the age of 55 I'll have a decent amount that I can pull out. It's not overly risky, but keeps up with inflation and if I didn't invest then I would just spend the money anyways. Also when I croak I'm worth a decent chunk to leave behind, half to my parents and half to Uganda to expand my little hospital down there. I also use a SEP Ira that is pretax so at the end of the year, I can usually drop a tax bracket with a one time investment as a write off and still keep the money (although not until later) I've though of Dividend stock and some simple diversifying, but for now it's just too over my head as well.
  3. Good for her. He's the Evander Kane of the NFL. Good riddance.
  4. Do you have a pic, I am asking around at work and have a couple possibly interested in getting her a good home.
  5. On this topic, it's funny, I do pretty well, but that's because I'm single without kids, so when I work, I get to spend my money. I am by no means "rich" in the grand scheme of things, but I spend my money on things I like. I love espresso, saunas and travel, I like riding my motorcycle. So I built a sauna, I got a nice espresso machine, etc, I travel whenever I can while I'm still young. My closet doesn't have much nice in it, but I don't prioritize how I look very often. Because of this, I've gotten so many comments over the years ranging from people asking me if I'm a trust fund baby, to people assuming that I don't work, it's kinda funny in general, but if people don't know my career or see any of the stuff I enjoy, most assume I'm just a bartender or homeless 😂😂 People judge on funny things, I'm glad Terry is comfortable in his T shirt lol
  6. You're saying you have a fat @ss 😉 No I understand, our culture here is quite unique when speaking in generalities, people can suck everywhere, but you are spot on with the collective attitudes of Merica. I set up my Aprilia for handling over speed, it has both, but I sacradided some power to be able to lean into those S curves
  7. Fair enough, after seeing all the moto accidents at work, I probably should give it up, same with skiing. But chances are slim that I will
  8. I think people assume that everyone is oblivious to everything. I'm almost 40, my driving wreckless is a lot different than a 19 year old. I ride the same roads, I know all the bends, the Driveways, etc, I know when I'm safe to open it up (minus road grime, deer, wildlife, etc) if I'm in a new place then I am within reason.
  9. Maybe a little, but I think you're not in the minority with that thinking. I don't like wreckless drivers in traffic, motorcycles, care, etc. One of the many perks of living in the country area 🙂 also where I like to let loose on the bike. If I eat it and have a bad outcome, so be it, my own damn fault. But when I'm in traffic, I'm a good boy
  10. I had my 20th a few years ago, I didn't go. If I make it to the next one, I am 100% sure people will be shocked with the path life has taken me down. None of this was expected for me, and most days I still don't believe how far I've come 😂
  11. I'm working on it, it's a slow progress, I'll take risks with my person but not so risky with my finances 😂
  12. Billionaires helping billionaires to stay billionaires. Or millionaires to become billionaires. Wayyy over my head, I don't even know what people do with that sort of money. Give me a few million and I'll retire, live comfortably within my means for the rest of my days.
  13. I typically avoid the expressway on the motorcycle, my bike is made for curvy backroads. I don't like those motorcyclists that do that stuff on the highway. Somehow, it's still acceptable in Europe though.
  14. I still ride quite often, I have my Aprilia and my roadster. Sometime when I'm on a bike that accelerates the speed of a rocketship, it's hard not to have some fun with it, and that ticks people off. However, the amount of stupidity from drivers that think they are superior to 2 wheeled autos, or simply are to careless to look; I think outweigh the dangers of a teenage douche. Just yesterday I almost T-boned a young teen driving mommy's Tahoe because he was simply too ignorant to look before cutting me off around a curve. Luckily when I ride, I'm fairly hypersensitive to my surrounding and other people.
  15. I think that we always assume Boston is going to be bad, every year there is news of injuries or players that are traded and on paper, they look worse.... The season then starts and they are magically just good. Winning culture maybe, but until they are way back in the playoff race, I assume they'll make it every year; just like I assume we will miss every year, until we finally make it
  16. I set mine at 65, and when it's winter, the windows are open in my room. I sleep like a damn polar bear.
  17. Health insurance has nearly singlehandedly ruined the American health care system (politics also) but that isn't the point here. And lawyers, medical malpractice lawyers can all go down in a flaming zephyr.
  18. I'll say this about the legal system. I would rather see someone who is "probably" guilty get off than someone who is innocent get the book thrown at them. Our legal system has flaws, but for the most part, I think they get it right. Sometimes you have a good lawyer, sometimes the prosecution screws up. This hockey Canada thing isn't earth shattering news, and I bet that if everything in the world came to light, any corporation with money would have a lot of blood on their hands. Sadly, humans kind of suck in general. If found guilty here, even though time has passed, let them all rot in jail. Some lines just shouldn't be crossed.
  19. I may see Gaslight Anthem next month if I can get the day off
  20. That was truly awful, good ol 1986
  21. Hey I mean I've been confused with the housekeeping staff in the ER multiple times, the whole judgment on appearance thing is hilarious. I'd rather be comfortable than come across as professional or bougie. In all my travels, I'm sure I'm a far target on the list to assault and rob because I look semi homeless😂if I start looking and acting like most "doctors" I may actually bring about more grief.
  22. Scrubs are nothing more than adult pajamas and I love them, you can wear them to a formal gathering because people assume you just got out of surgery or something important. I can wear them doing yard work because they don't stain easy, just a casual day at Niagara falls, Sure, scrub pants and a T shirt. Plus they're comfy as *****
  23. Maybe because Crosby was considered the clear #1 with Malkin behind, and in Chicago, it was always Kane AND Towes, not just patty as the clear cup #1
  24. The whirlpool Bridge is great but I have nexus, sadly when I'm going to Canada, some of my friends don't have nexus so I have to take a different bridge. The thing that is frustrating is that inflation in some of these things seems to have gone higher than expected, I know my pay hasn't changed in years basically and some people aren't having a lot of luck keeping up with inflation.
