Maybe they were Caribbean Island college textbooks.

His textbooks are out of date.

A corporation is not required to sell shares publicly, no? And forgive me for not checking to see if PSE ended in corp or llc. My bad, but I don’t think it harms my point. And acting in the best interests of the owner was exactly what I was referring to, even if worded less than ideally. My business experience is that every manger in a company has fiduciary responsibilities to the owner(s).

It was an exhibition game, so no. If it were the tournament there would have been more penalties.
-
I’m not, but I think the GM wants differently.
-
The Bills are a corporation. Right, wrong, or indifferent the leaders of any corporation have a primary responsibility that is fiduciary. Varying from fiduciary decisions without owner/shareholder consent is dereliction of their primary responsibility. And I can’t see the owners of this corporation accepting the huge financial and PR burden necessary to do what you ask. Corporations are antisocial by their very nature. Asking them to be otherwise is asking a cat to be a mouse.

Given that few teams employ a Mair Ray 4th line anymore, I think we’d have to hope (as opposed to expect) for a middle 3rd of the league level for a Kulich/Krebs/Okposo 4th line. The only given is Krebs, likely. Okie will be fortunate to maintain this seasons level and Kulich…. 🤷♂️

Nothing about what our team is doing now gives them a better odds of winning the cup than Toronto has.

I’ll take the Buffalo Sabres decade of the 80’s over the Buffalo Sabres decade of 2012-2022 every. Freaking. Time. They are so far from not being close. Not once in the 80s did I consider not watching. Not once did I give up hope that this season might be the season that they get to round 2. I spent the last decade with the Sabres as background noise. I’ll take the excitement and disappointment that Toronto is living through over the dead weight of knowing your team doesn’t have a chance on most every night and not think twice about it. My kid is 25. Middle school, high school, college, and into his work career, the Sabres have been irrelevant. What are the odds he’s a fan of the team? What a waste. I wouldn’t wish Toronto’s success on Crusader. He wouldn’t appreciate it. Apparently there is no value in being entertained for 83 games.

I’ve been somewhat skeptical about Rabbit Hole in general. How was it?

Pretty fantastic weather so far today. We’re on the deck enjoying a charcuterie lunch and a bottle of chianti. No fava beans. And just listening to/ watching the birds.

I suspect that guys with more defensive ability and game IQ aren’t 3rd and 4th pair guys. You are gonna get a D man with flaws if you are targeting to upgrade the 5-7 D spots.

So it still lives!

Did my original what are you drinking thread get lost to the ether?

Espolon here. And a Henry Clay Warhawk. i would dabble around the edges of the dirt weed if my wife was open to it, bit she’s a square so I guess I’m a square be default.

I think Frederic would make a number of fans pretty happy. And more than a few Sabres too.
-
It would also give Savoie a lot of room, and some protection.

Olympics is a whole different animal. Nationalistic sports. Good question re: historical stuff.

Like I said above, I didn’t read the article. Don’t have a subscription. But the clip Darth posted mentioned stats that we don’t typically see and discuss, so there may be more to it than the commonly available stats we usually see in those fancy bar graphs

I think the only place in the world where playing the anthem wouldn’t get negative attention is on this side of the pond.

Too lazy to look, and its a workday, but wasn’t there an article posted (in this thread maybe) indicating that Dahlin has some fairly poor advanced metrics relative to his Norris peers, specifically on the defensive side? I recall the metrics mentioned not being metrics we fans mention much, contested zone entries, that sort of thing. And Dahlin didn’t measure up with those stats. Unpopular opinion but, maybe our bias is showing here and he’s not a top 3 guy yet. Pg 2, Darth posted an article from the athletic. No subscription so I don’t know the context, but a clip Darth posted indicates that there are flaws that would keep Dahlin out of the final 3.

I’m guessing it is as much about an unelected king tather than a debate on nationalism and military PR like it predominately is here.

Not surprising at all. Darcy was quoted as saying teams typically turnover their roster every 3 yrs. That doesn’t mean every player turns over, it means 23 players going tthrough the door every 3 years.

He already explained it. Sheesh. You can always start your own concept thread.
