Chad D: expect a Byram trade at or around the draft
Weave replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
I don’t really agree with this assessment, but then again, I wasn’t terribly high on Mitts as a player. Until the season played out, there wasn’t a chance Cozens got moved. Obviously that changed as the season played out. And I am not convinced Mitts would have been any better in that role. I think KA turned an asset that was lowering in value into an asset that has stabilized at a higher value. And I am convinced currently that Byram is a higher value asset because of the report that many teams have interest, and because of the numbers he put up with minimal special teams time. Mitts is struggling to hang on, and Byram appears to have interest around the league. Did Byram plug a hole in Buffalo? Not really. He was a duplicate skill set to Dahlin and Power, and I would slot him between those two in regards to positive impact on the team. From a team building sense, I don’t think the Byram trade was a good one. But from a getting-the-better-asset sense, the Byram trade was a win for Buffalo. Whether KA can effectively take advantage of it is another story entirely. -
Didn’t the “suffering” line go with the public release of that graphic showing all the 1st rd picks on playoff team rosters? No way that went out to the STHs without TPs eyeballs on it. Especially given what we know now. I am not sure what the fire-able action was. Darcy also said the owner would determine the extent of the rebuild, and clearly the owner got what he wanted. The way I see it, Darcy was the good soldier at the time.

Ok. Your opinion is different than mine. I don’t see Dahlins points in the Norris voting more than doubling if the team made the playoffs. I just don’t.
-
Im not so sure. He didn’t get a single 1st or 2nd place vote. I don’t know that he moves up much when only 4 voters thought enough of him to place him in 3rd on their ballots.

I’ve been trying to tell you guys since he was hired, Lindy is here as a favor to the organization that he holds a lot of loyalty for. He’s not gonna rock boats. He giving a good faith effort to work with the situation Terry and Mr. Smithers prefer. He is here to try to bring credibility to an organization and operating system that Pegula and Smithers prefer to work under. Does that make Lindy culpable? Maybe. I suppose. To me, it is closer to charity work than anything else.

When your season ends before Christmas, seasons go by quickly.

I plan to.

That will be a fun show.

Ahh *****. You were there too? I def would have hunted you down. We were maybe 30’ from the center-right of the stage. Right on the edge of the circle of moshers. A beer cup was definitely in jeopardy of going down in that spot! Yeah that video was disturbing LOL. From what I have been led to believe it is a poorly kept secret that Edsel is doing front man duties for Static-X with Wayne gone. So he had quite the night fronting Dope, getting his vocal chords some rest while Gwar did their thing, and then killing it with Static-X. Fun show for sure.

Great show at River Works tonight. And a great crowd. Not really the metal crowd I was expecting. More of a party crowd. They were wild and having a ball. Nothing but smiles in the mosh pit. And Gwar is some weird ass ***** live. Like probably the weirdest thing Ive ever seen live.

It cannot be prospects only. There is no room on the roster for roster players coming in if roster players aren’t also going out. I am sure KA is trying to move the Beck Malenstyn’s of the roster thinking adding Isac Rosen will make it irresistible to a team like Dallas for Robertson (yeah they might fall for it LOL). But is probably going to be more like Peterka + Kulich or that big russian defenseman, whatshisface + Byram to make good things happen. -
Static-X, Dope and Gwar tomorrow evening. Early dinner at home, cocktails at Ballyhoo, and then a few hours of metal to round out the day. I don’t think I am setting the alarm for Monday morning.

The lack of vision started with the original plan…….

Hence why its doom. He’s too parochial to be aware there is another lake in Ontario that is a Great Lake (ffs) and has both walleyes and salmon.. It even says ONTARIO in the name.

Some folks look in the mirror and hate what they see so much they have to lash out at the people like them. -

How the hell did that show up as a quote of mine? -
Ugh. He apparently isn’t aware that Lake Ontario has good populations of both salmon and walleye. We’re doomed.

Don’t make perfect the enemy of better though.
-
You are stuck on goalie/ D vs forward as an either or. Its not. It has to be all of them if playoffs is a serious goal.

Ok Mrs. Adams, put the wine bottle down. -
You are assuming I don’t see him as a 30 goal winger. I don’t care. This team needs a different mix at forward, and needs to get older. Running back Quinn and the rest of the forward group is not a playoff making decision.
