Christmas through now is the coldest part of the year, no?

Going back to the first post and the original concept for the thread….. Underwear. I have rarely found underwear that I thought was really comfortable. Some will do. Some just suck. Alot feel Ok for a few months of washes and then go to hell. My wife bought me a few pairs of Duluth Trading Co Buck Naked underwear for Christmas. They are a little pricey at ~$24 a pop, but holy ***** are they a revelation regarding comfort. Where have these things been all my life? Super comfortable. Don’t stretch out and get loose. Elastic holding up well 3+ months in. No shrinkage. Keeps parts that need separating separated. Super comfortable fabric. Splurge just once and give them a try.

Adams And Granato Media Availability Wednesday: What Do You Want To hear?
Weave replied to Flashsabre's topic in The Aud Club
GMTM made more draft picks than Botteril. Don’t confuse choosing poorly with trading the future for now. -
That will have you back here by draft day.

Based on that quote shown in the screen capture he was true to his word.

Is Jeff Skinner on a Hall of Fame trajectory?

I hate that this could even be considered. The Hall of Very Good. -
40-year old former Sabre Christian Ehrhoff signs with the Penguins
Weave replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Aud Club
I find it pretty amazing when athletes in their 40s can still perform at the highest levels. Ehrhoff had that smooth, effortless skating style that seems to be a hallmark of guys that continue to play at a high level well past most others’ primes. Teppo, James Patrick being other Sabres examples. I’d be surprised if Skinner isn’t able to have a career well past the time most have retired. -
Your Rorschach test results must be quite interesting.

Just wait until the next Robin Lehner interview.

Late last season (I think) I saw a podcast with a goalie that TnT played against in the AHL. Claimed that players on his team wanted to be on the ice against TnT. Whatever. He’s obviously not the same guy he was then. It’s irrelevant.

I resisted the urge to state that Mendon is not representative of sparsely populated areas. I guess I didn’t resist that much, lol.
-
100% agreed. Maybe the sparser populated areas of Monroe Co are less likely to have trash neighbors, but my experience in less sparsely populated areas is that level of pride in your property is quite diverse.
-
Yes I have. It doesn’t belong, unless your goal is to make adult food taste more like children’s food.
-
So you agree, then. Popular does not equal good. Bleu cheese is part of wings. You don’t put ranch dressing on a Caesar salad. You don’t put ketchup on an omelette. You don’t put ranch on wings.
-
Umm, duh? Isn’t his opinion the point?
-
I caught the same vibe. He almost sounded ashamed. Or embarrassed.
-
You must have thought Britney Spears made awesome music in her day. Popular usually means simple and plain. Generally unoffending. Sounds awesome.

Fingers, McNuggets, molded scrap meat, whatever. They aren’t even a tender unless they are made from that specific muscle.

And correct sauce is only part of it. Wings are greasy, fatty rich. You need the right compliment to it. The strong, tangy, slightly funky flavors of bleu cheese mesh with the fatty texture and heat of the sauce. Ranch is sweet, thin, mild and cloying, and it dumbs down what makes a Buffalo wing a Buffalo wing. Like Eleven said, it’s no different than ketchup on a steak. Sweet, thin and cloying to satisfy a child’s sweet tooth and dumb down what makes a steak a steak. Order Chicken McNuggets and honey mustard, FFS.
-
Yup. Children’s dipping sauce.

Better it happens as a Sabre than to a Sabre.
