Begs to question what other teams refer to as firm offers? If they are merely spamming lowball offers for Cozens and the like then at some point I could seriously understand just outright ignoring or giving a snarky response back. No Nashville, we aren't trading you Cozens for Stamkos or to Vancouver for a 1st and Hoglander.

We have become the NHLs Chernobyl, players have little to no interest whatsoever to ply for the fans or the crest. We have a handful of guys, which includes the one on IR that seem to at least give a damn every night. Even Tuch looks worn down this point. Im seriously worried about this franchise as a whole at this point because it seems as if we’ve become a pariah to some, a joke to many, and a mere cash grab to the rest. I have not the slightest idea how you fix the franchise barring a sale and then we have a slim chance of keeping the team thus making it all a moot point. I know without question if the team moves we will never have another NHL franchise so we can’t afford to simply hope another billionaire spawns from the ether to save the team.

Frankly I don't think we lose the Avs game if Dahlin doesn't get hurt.

1 part malaise, 1 part youth/inexperience, 1 part Dahlin being hurt, and 1 part not fitting the system or not trying to fit in

He also mentioned the proposal of Petersson for Cozens and Byram but I'm a tad hesitant to get smaller and acquire a guy who has all but disappeared although he is a supreme talent.

You might have an argument in regards to Cozens production but I will stand on a soapbox and scream to the mountains that his fight with Hatheway changed him as a player. He used to have piss and vinegar; he used to play hard every shift and try to play physically at any moment he could. Now he’s more of a outside the house player and looks hesitant to engage physically

Krueger's system killed Montour here as it effectively neutered puck moving defensemen from doing anything akin to their specialty. Montour, like Dahlin, isn't a pure offensive defenseman but all players need the ability to gain confidence to play their game. Dahlin and Montour were both more or less prevented from playing naturally thus their confidence tanked and overall play fell apart.

Technically they just need each of them to lose 2 or 3 games and us to win 3 or 4 and we'd be in WC2

Literally the only positive we can get from this game was we got another point and Greenway looked good. However Peterka has a Boa Constrictor around his neck and Tuch looks exasperated

The most baffling part of this season thus far is Jack Quinn's disappearance from this team. Most here weren't exactly overly concerned about Quinn's role in the Top 6 as much as well who was going to be the other winger on the 2nd line. However I can't recall anyone believing he'd go down like the Hindenburg in this role. I know another thread exists in regard to Quinn however I wanted to poll the forum and you can't exactly make a poll within another thread.

We need to make Cozens a winger, he’d thrive. He’s not a great playmaker but give him a north south kind of role and he becomes a bull in a China shop.

Effectively Reinhart was the casualty of COVID for the Sabres. Because I don’t doubt Granato would have wanted to keep him and Adams would have likely pushed for it. Botts however seemed more likely to deal him because of his winger status and likely AAV around 6mil to 8mil which flew in the face of his contract beliefs. The only 2 he gave solid money to was Eichel and Skinner who both had Pegula involved.

Well the other option was a 1 year contract and let him walk if it makes you feel better. Botts giving him a 1 year deal was the mistake, Adams merely continued it due to COVID

My guess would 1 of 3 things 1. Adams is being promoted to Hockey Operations and Karmanos takes the GM role (Technically changes the GM and adds a POHO to help cover Pegula's absences) 2. Purely a media appearance to spew the typical messages or hope and belief with no underlying changes 3. Something to do with Lindy Ruff either retiring or being made POHO with Appert taking over.

Well at least the Jets keep themselves just ahead of us in sheer incompetence. After all, they did choose to go all in on a 40+ year old head case of a QB, let him play GM and continue to double down until both the coach and actual GM were fired and the QB is saying he plans to leave at season’s end.
