  1. Leafs traded a 3rd and 6th to get an analytics nightmare but a good dude.
  2. Well at very least this wasn't another Scandella situation. We got a '25 4th for full price Bush Anaheim gets a 3rd for a 50% off Bush.
  3. Gutsy win. I'm getting this weird feeling that had they played looser to start the season we'd be in the playoffs atm. Last year we won games with high scoring games and struggled with close games. This year we've actually looked better when teams started to lock things down after Jan 1st.
  4. As much as I wish to agree with you, we may need all 3 retention slots for our own player trades.
  5. Don't know enough about the prospect to make a comment on him Actually its a 3-way trade '24 2nd, Artem Grushnikov and the Conditional '26 3rd (transfers if Dallas makes the Playoffs) goes to CGY NJD retained 50% of the remaining 50% of Tanev's contract and got a '26 4th from DAL for the trouble DAL got Tanev at 25% and some guy named Cole Brady
  6. I get the sense this was a contract argument that went public.
  7. Well average players aren’t going to cut it if I’m trading a high tier prospect. That’s how you end up trading Filip Forsburg for Martin Erat
  8. Guy has elite talent and pedigree from his draft spot and junior stats. Barring injuries he’ll at worst bounce around for 5 to 10 years based on how GMs view Top 10 picks. Just look at Alex Nylander and you can see how much better Savoie is. If I’m trading the kid I’m not taking a run of the mill 3rd liner
  9. That’s my guess; either that or he’s literally insane based on some of his posts.
  10. Dundon is considered a cheapish owner and rather money hungry. He's the owner who upon the jersey sponsor debate coming up said he'd love multiple. Supposedly RBA's last contract was a difficult situation due to Dundon trying to badly under cut him. He is willing to spend money occasionally but his largest monetary expenditure in the NHL comes from a petty RFA fight he had with Montreal.
  11. From what I read about it he was asked about why Benson seems to be getting targeted by the refs and Granato stated he was glad the reporter said it.
  12. He wants Tuch to sprout wings and fly An aggravating game all around; team plays a solid 1st and 3rd against one of the best in the league; UPL stones up the 2nd and yet we still lose since the refs have no idea what a ***** penalty is and have tissue paper skin. They can all go ***** off a short pier
  13. Granato getting a penalty is just proof to me that the league is literally doing all it can to neuter us. only we get penalties for complaining or trying to fight back
  14. We’ve got 1 shot and then lost it 3 separate times this period which is an oddity
  15. Either have some degree of optimism or just stop posting. No one has any need for endless negative Nancy energy Benson seems to have a target on his back from refs
  16. Maybe he was analytically.... I don't remember seeing him play a 200ft game like he does now however. He'd backcheck hard in some games and at other times look like his controller was unplugged. Again that season is a blur to me; all I remember is Botts trading Scandella instead of Risto that previous offseason and then trading for Frolik's ghost and Wayne Simmonds. Yes, it is a hot button topic for me. He was my favorite player after he was drafted and I loved his style of long strides and high skill. My uncles, who worked with the family of Jack's now ex-girlfriend, always told me he was bad egg and was a huge personality issue during the whole ROR vs Eichel saga and I vehemently defended him and felt it was just potential in-laws having issues with their daughter's boyfriend kind of stuff. When he asked out I felt betrayed since my uncles had mentioned before he wanted to go somewhere bigger if possible, including even Toronto. Then he had those comments after the 1st game here and it more or less made him "persona non grata" and desired all but literal harm on the guy. Thus his success and even time here now just feels like a lie in of itself.
  17. Honestly the COVID year always slips my mind due to how it ended and the whole convoluted world that occurred afterward. The other thing is that his two-way play didn't kick in consistently until he went to Vegas and got lit up by his coach over some weak backchecking. Why would we the fans need to admit anything however? He was a great player who was also a jack-ass; both can be true. Once he signed here for 8 years; he told the fans he'd be here for us and give his all. I don't give one ***** if the Sabres did a bad job with the team while he was here; they weren't abusing him. He had a job to help entertain and fulfill our hopes, asked to leave, then made fun of the fans in his return; karma should of meant he wallowed in garbage his entire career however that never seems to be the case when Buffalo is involved. We get *****, no matter how friendly or considerate we are.
  18. It was cool the first night; now its just concerning.
  19. Not in a Buffalo uniform What he does in Vegas doesn't mean he's magically better in regards to us.
  20. Technically it would depend on how you mean best offensive player in Buffalo or that played in Buffalo at some point. Effectively Thompson had a better season that Eichel ever had in Buffalo.
  21. 1 of the leaks in the roof sits above a couple seats in the 300 level which have to be moved most games due to the rain/snow melting and dripping down. Supposedly the original plan was fix the roof, install new sound equipment in the rafters to better reflect and deflect sound and the addition of a new Jumbotron. COVID, Kim's "Stroke" and the new Bills Stadium delayed the plans. The updated plans are now known with them intending to replace the roof entirely in order to avoid potential continued failures in the 30+ year old roof.
  22. Joy, we get to hear 2.5 hours of ball washing of the Panthers and be reminded about our many issues on a nigh limitless basis.
