  1. Larsson is still day to day so roster wise we are fine presently
  2. How the hell does Tennyson keep making the team out of camp?
  3. I would still say its safer to guess Buffalo > than either of them
  4. Team Predictions Sabres' Final Record: 37-33-12 86PTS 5th in the Atlantic Total Goals Scored: about 250 Total Goals Allowed: about 275 Power Play Ranking: middle PK Ranking: middle All-Star Players: Eichel Award Winners/Finalists: Dahlin (Calder Finalist), Mittlestadt (5th place in Calder) Player Predictions Top 3 goal scorers 1.) Skinner - 37g 2.) Eichel - 31g 3.) Reinhart - 25g Top 3 point totals 1.) Eichel - 93pts 2.) Skinner - 70 pts 3.) Reinhart - 65 pts Sabres' best rookie: Dahlin 15g26a for 41pts/ Mittlestadt 19g35a for 54pts Biggest surprise: Dahlin's scoring, Pominville is useful Biggest disappointment: Bogo continues his trend of 50% seasonal starts and Beaulieu flames out by December How many games/wins for the goalies? Ullmark: 12-15-7 Hutton: 25-18-5 other(injuries): Hunwick doesn't play more than 10 games Who is passing us in the Atlantic Flagg? MTL? I honestly don't see it unless Price plays like he did a few years ago regardless of the Finish guy with lots of Ks in his name.
  5. I'd start the year Skinner-Eichel-Reinhart Sheary-Berglund-Thompson Mitts-ERod-Okposo (At least until Mitts starts to look more confident and stops trying to force things) Girgs-Sobotka-Pommers/Bailey
  6. Fun fact: Marleau’s play on Dahlin was a very fascinating event since Marleau had been in the NHL playing games before Dahlin was even conceived.
  7. Housley says that they are easing Bogosian in due to his surgery
  8. That condition should be contested by the Sabres. They shouldn’t be allowed to play with a pick they already promised us. Not to mention, if they miss the playoffs in theory they could not defer
  9. Christ this was sad, I feel so bad for him and his family. I'm glad to see the Sabres were very supportive and that he's now on a better path.
  10. Poor Mitts needs to reset and calm down; he's playing enraged to the point he can't properly function. Boston's players were mugging Sabres without any calls at times. Dahlin and Mitts were interfered with at least 5 times each without calls. Dahlin was high-sticked at the end of the game Glad to see them outshoot them though.
  11. Mittlestadt was quiet but still played a solid game overall. Plus that back check in the 3rd was a beautiful thing to see.
  12. Aside from the mini-goal hangovers the Sabres have looked very fun to watch. Dahlin looks as advertised, Nylander has looked like the guy we've wanted him to be, Mitts seems fine and simultaneously was determined to get Dahlin a goal, Olofsson's shot.... all I have to say.... Tage looks seasoned and calm, Asplund has looked great. Overall a fun game to watch thus far. Johnsson has had a very solid game as well.
  13. Hell, the Sabres themselves may be hoping for this.....
  14. What I'm saying is the NHL doesn't care if the Sabres choose to make money or not; it just doesn't allow 2 NHL teams to play a game and broadcast it without the NHL getting a cut in advertising. It's ass backwards thinking but the NHL corporate couldn't care less about out of town fans unless they pay for their content.
  15. I believe Duffer when he says its a league thing; after all in the Prospects camp stream wasn't gated. I think it has to do with their being 2 separate teams playing and the NHL can't make money......
  16. Atlantic Division Winner: Tampa Bay Metropolitan Division Winner: Washington Central Division Winner: Winnipeg Pacific Division Winner: San Jose President's Trophy: Tampa Bay Stanley Cup Champion: Tampa Bay Stanley Cup runner-up: Nashville Conn Smythe: Kucherov Calder: Mitts Jack Adams: Phil Housley (You can add the other awards, these are the ones I care about) Biggest surprise (team): Buffalo Biggest surprise (player): Lindholm (CGY) Biggest disappointment (team): Columbus/Edmonton Biggest disappointment (player): Kovulchuck Biggest name traded during season: Karlsson First coach fired: Claude Julien Bottom 3 teams: Ottawa, Montreal, Vancouver, NYR, NYI 1. TB 114pts 2. BUF 99pts (tiebreakers) 3. BOS 99pts WC1: TOR 98pts 1. WSH 110 pts 2. PIT 104 pts 3. PHI 102 pts WC2: CAR 95 pts TB > CAR BUF > BOS WSH > TOR PIT > PHI TB > BUF WSH > PIT TB > WSH
  17. Last year he had the Avs and Vegas at the bottom so I'm unconcerned.
  18. Faulk is just a non-physical and older Risto with a bit more offensive flair. He’s not really what we need.
  19. Very interesting, will give me things to think about. I still see Risto's potential being that of a prime Brett Seabrook; a 2/3 dman with average defensive play, good offensive numbers, physical, and someone who can fill in as a #1 in the event of injuries. He also has some pest-like qualities to him which doesn't hurt. That being said he is in desperate need of playing, at minimum, 3 fewer minutes a game. The poor guy has been literally thrown to the wolves for nearly his entire career, played like Suter where as his style of play really doesn't suit that as of this time; and then slowly grinds down as the season progresses. I honestly wish someone could teach him positioning because he'd at least play better in his own zone if he could use his size for both physicality and cutting down on lanes.
