You're wrong Primarily because there isn't enough information. Medical compromise seems off the table. It takes two to tango and it seems like the Sabres are a bit more flexible than Eichel. The Sabres keep telling Eichel to find a consensus of doctors to which he has failed to do so yet has dug in on his desired treatment. He hasn’t been able to make a creative deal involving conditionals or salary dumps materialize. We have no clue what he's been trying to do. All the information we have is that Buffalo is asking for a king's ransom and other teams are refusing to even give ransom for a peasant. NO conditionals can be placed on players and I doubt KA wants 4 picks. And he’s boxed himself out of allowing Jack a dignified road back to the team by allowing things to get personal. To be honest, Eichel sort of did that to himself. Between his end of season statement, former agent's tirade and trying to use his preferred surgeon as a propaganda tool on Friedman's podcast doesn't exactly come across as dignified or in good nature. The Sabres have literally only done 2 things, state they will not trade him for pennies and as such are in control of his contract and stating their doctors are unwilling to sign off on the replacement disk surgery. Technically even that isn't fully true. You can have selfish or egotistical players; but they can't be there from Day 1. You have to have a core group which effectively keeps the team in line. You don't need a team of choir boys but you do need a solid core group of player that greatly outnumbers the bad apples. Plus the bad apples cannot all arrive at once; they must be trickled in slowly in order for their indoctrination to set in or else you could create a civil war.

I honestly believe had Botts been fired within the prior season Reinhart would of been a long term Sabres player. You could honestly tell both Reinhart and Adams were sad at what ended up happening. Hell, if COVID hadn't happened, yet Botts was still fired, I think we'd of signed Reinhart long term. Perhaps like Pominville someday he'll return 🙂

I’m rather curious at what exactly they are doing wrong specifically in the stadium besides the obvious physical wear the building has on it. I hope they win, I had my fill of tanking for Eichel. If they lose I’ll be mad and disappointed but I’ll bounce back easier knowing this isn’t a high pressure season. I’ll only want them to lose if we are in Game 82 and a loss somehow assured us pick 1. To be honest what I'd expect isn't listed. I fall between Options 1 & 2. I expect him to bounce back and look good again but not be what he was his rookie season. 3-5 Dman with about 30 pts would be my guess.

Only the 1st offer would even get my attention. And I'd agree with Pi in wanting a 1st over a 2nd. Trade #2 gives us yet another D prospect which doesn't exactly aid us Trade #3 gives us a nigh-bust Strome and another Olofsson who's slightly better. Trade #1 at least gives us Dach, a Center. That being said I can't see how they would swing that with their cap situation.

Part of the problem there was the fact it would be impossible to force mask mandates in general. You can’t just throw every other person out as you couldn’t have enough cops to pull it off. They made all the employees wear masks, which was aggravating to be honest. I was fine with a mask inside, just not outside where it becomes a nightmare to communicate with fans over their ticket trouble. ( I work game days.) On the flip side I’ll likely wear one in the winter for warmth while not helping sort out issues.

Samuelsson is probably going to play over Hagg and Bryson to be honest as he brings something the rest of our D lacks in size and strength. I've been picturing Dahlin - Jokiharju Samuelsson - Miller Butcher - Pysyk Every pair has a more offensive and defensively skewed player. The bottom pair is part 3rd pairing and part situational players. Butcher skewed towards offensive situations whereas Pysyk takes more defensive responsibilities. Hagg is just Risto-lite Bryson started off great last year but struggled down the stretch. The one interesting situation however would be if Borgen is waived by Seattle due to their present player numbers. In that case I'd go Dahlin - Borgen Butcher - Jokiharju Hagg - Pysyk/Miller
