  1. I’d disagree on Beaulieu’s value being shot. He’s worth a 4th. Toffoli is having a down year. my original offer would be SJSs 1st and Beaulieu for Toffoli and their 4th/3rd based on Beaulieu’s games performance
  2. I’d go after Toffoli with Beaulieu and the 2020 2nd and SJSs 4th this year Not a rental and would give us further depth on the wing. the biggest problem is the lack of non rental Cs on the market
  3. To be honest I am rather curious seeing as the Sabres play tomorrow and Rochester plays Wednesday yet no call ups have been made.
  4. I'd be willing to deal with his slow decent into mediocrity just for the 3 rings of experience and his dirty play is just a bonus. Who better to mentor Dahlin than a Conn Smythe winner who was incredible in his prime.
  5. Cody Ceci is terrible so I'd never trade for that bum
  6. I'm actually on board with this; I'm haddit with his no emotion
  7. If it’s not a 1st then it makes plenty of sense. Botts said he wouldn’t trade a 1st for a rental not that he wouldn’t target a rental in general
  8. No different from his discussion points on the HFBoards. He has as much hatred for Botts as one guy there did for GMTM where it becomes annoying through repetitive statements. No GM is perfect, Botts has done well in my opinion. He’s made seemingly good & bad deals but has certainly at very least changed the team’s overall atmosphere.
  9. Agree with you entirely here. Someone else on the PP needs to at minimum be either a solid passing threat or shooting threat from the side opposite Eichel. Right now, Eichel gets effectively trapped between endlessly trying cycle with Risto/Reinhart or trying to pick the corner. There is far too little movement on the PP and Reinhart needs to do more than merely stand beside the net and play catch with Eichel. Maybe occasionally pass around the boards and try to loosen the box or get them moving side to side. Presently the other team can practically sit 3 guys on one side to guard against Eichel, Reinhart, Risto, and whomever is in the high slot.
  10. Picks can be traded as long as said pick's existence & it's conditions still include an asset. So we could trade SJS or St.L's 1st since it will either be a 1st this year or next year. We own the asset of a conditional 1st in 2019/2020. On the other hand, we cannot trade our 3rd since it is tied to a condition. It's a 4th or a 3rd which we owe. So Pittsburgh could trade the conditional pick but we can't.
  11. Depends on who Not interested in even potentially helping teams in our division or nearby competition
  12. I wouldn’t take either to force them to make a deal. 3.1 mil Spooner is still a cap dump and seeing as he hasn’t worked out on now 3 teams; who’s to say he personally has problems off ice.
  13. Ironic how Eichel's weak play lost us the game, technically, in Buffalo in OT against Gaudreau. Tonight Gaudreau got to cute in OT allowing Sheary and Eichel to get to them and eventually score.
  14. I worry Puljujarvi has been ruined by the Oilers or was never that great to begin with. After all, he was linemates with Laine and Aho for the WJC. He also isn’t the fleetest of foot but if the price is low enough I’d throw them lower end asset for his recovery process
  15. The problem the PP has is their complete lack of motion. They make it way to easy to protect against since we rarely have any movement besides the puck holder. When Eichel has on the half wall, it seems as if most of the team stops moving thus leaving Eichel very few options. There should be at least two, maybe three guys moving around at all times among the four non-puck holding players. Either the man down low or up high should stay in a steady spot as a safety valve but the other three should be skating around looking to find openings. Hell, even a basic circle for the other three would at least create motion that the opposing PK would have to adjust to. Presently, they all go to their respective spots; then Eichel skates around trying to find any angle he can use. The other team is barely moving thus retaining their formation and leaving Eichel with only the options of forcing a pass through a mess of legs, try to snipe or merely call up a Amerk to literally stand wherever the other guy had been. I honestly can say that I could make a better PP strategy than this coaching staff.
  16. You are blind if that's an illegal hit. Eichel has every right to be there as much as McDonough. The Dman goes low and quite literally bumps into Eichel's elbow which is in tight to his body and not moving. (Eichel is literally against the boards as skinny as you can get) Effectively its like blaming someones mailbox for being in your way when your biking when its in the correct location. After he bumps into Eichel he goes full Oscar worthy performance to draw a penalty. McDonough should be given a suspension for that embellishment and the refs should be fired. Larsson shouldn't of been penalized since it wasn't going to be called until after Sergachev crosschecked him in the head. Sergachev should of been ejected for that intentional head shot. Pilut did take a penalty but Callahan also embellished
  17. I believe you have to have this year's pick.
  18. We can't offer sheet Kapanen at that level because we don't have our 2nd rounder.
  19. There's a chance this will be a great game seeing as the Sabres due to tend to play to their opponent's level. We play down to bad teams and up to good teams more often than not. We are going into this game 1-1 with Tampa with having won our game at home. So while we are the lesser team, its hockey, anything can happen!
  20. This game was the definition of puck bounces deciding a game.
