  1. What would you think we'd extend Tkachuk for? I wouldn't trade for him without 1
  2. Reinhart for Tkachuk anyone? I'd rather keep Reinhart but if he's determined to leave then sure.
  3. Depends on my circumstances to be honest. Give Barkov, Eichel’s contract and my current roster; it would certainly be a tempting offer however I’d likely try to switch one of the Centers out due to the sheer depth it would gouge out. Additionally 50/50 is a tad under reporting the many outcomes that could come in the future. For instance if we have a 50% chance of getting great Eichel, a 10% chance 90% Eichel and then it cascades from there then I’d say yes with my previous caveat. After all a 75% Eichel or Barkov is likely better than any of the other players mentioned.
  4. If anything, players should be allowed to sign stuff and sell it without the. NCAA breaking down their doors. I don’t think they should get wages but perhaps some type of stipend at season’s end based on a percentage of the money they helped earn the school.
  5. Usually they have other things attached such as college credit.
  6. In what way? If we have 1&3 You either go Power and the remaining between Beniers/Eklund OR Beniers and the remainder of Power/Hughes Hell you could take Beniers and Eklund
  7. Here's Miller's from the final 4 of those years GP GAA Sv% 28 2.35 0.928 20 2.76 0.912 23 3.10 0.907 16 3.51 0.882 Ullmark GP GAA Sv% 5 2.00 0.935 37 3.11 0.905 34 2.69 0.915 20 2.63 0.917
  8. I have serious mixed feelings about Gibson; mostly due to this... GP GAA Sv% 3 1.33 0.954 23 2.60 0.914 40 2.06 0.920 52 2.22 0.924 60 2.43 0.926 58 2.84 0.917 51 3.00 0.904 35 2.98 0.903 His stats have been trending down the last 4 years but I'm unsure if that is due to their team or him just being exposed.
  9. I could certainly see the Pegula's looking to sell a portion of the team to someone a bit more knowledgeable on hockey. I doubt they'd sell the team outright though as it would ruin their whole One Buffalo idea and about 6 years of consolidating roles between the teams. I could however see some sort of arrangement where they sell 35% of the team to a like minded individual who really wants to make Buffalo hockey even more great.
  10. To be honest I'd rather them not completely sell the team. Instead just sell a portion of it and let hockey people run it. I'd be terrified of them moving the team
  11. Oh, I don't mean tonight, I meant the playoffs in general. That's all.
  12. I can honestly say I've enjoyed watching Montreal this year in the playoffs. I'm a sucker for underdog stories and they just refuse to lose. God I wish our team had that sheer doggedness
  13. A. Get a retractable roof B. Extend the lease 2 years so you can play in Buffalo straight through. None of this Penn State or Toronto nonsense
  14. Get well soon Rene Robert
  15. Alright, Eichel, Olofsson, 4th for Zegras, Comtois, 3OA and Henrique. would that be a good trade?
  16. Not really, it all depends on the player. Fred Jackson lived across the street from me for 7 or 8 years and he was a genuinely great guy. He even signed stuff for the entire street after a game once and came to the block parties we had.
  17. Do I want to trade Eichel? No Must we trade Eichel? Again No Could he be a problem? Perhaps What do we know of him? He's a highly expressive superstar player that was given the captaincy way too early. I wish we had Gionta at 31 when we signed him and were able to keep him around a while to give Eichel a chance to mature.
  18. Eichel is a great player, and I rather not chase him out of town. But this hypothetical makes sense. At very least, he's possibly polarizing locker room presence. In a sense, I don't think he'd be a problem on any team with a leader; however the combination of being placed as the Messiah of Buffalo and the typical persona of Bostonians could have greatly inflated his personal ego to a point he feels that he towers over his peers to the extent they are truly beneath him. It may not even be consciously, but if most the team feels worthless compared to Jack; they would behave similarly to how they defer to him constantly.
  19. Kessel to Seattle W5
  20. Then who has the highest according to him would be my question?
  21. I'd hope some of the crazed fans would go burn an effigy in front of the statue of the French Connection in that case.
  22. Yes, because I don't want him in the conference and having to hear 50 times a year about the Rangers and them stealing Eichel. Joy, another ROR situation with the freaking owners and GM having a vendetta against a top player for no apparent reason.
  23. I wouldn't be happy with either but LA's at least give us a Center
  24. For me, he would be likely exchanged with Asplund depending on the situation. Both work well with Mitts but have differing strengths.
  25. Ran this through Capfriendly Reinhart 7x7mil Mitts 5x3mil Coleman 3x4.5mil Copp 4x4.15mil McCabe 1x2.5mil Jokiharju 2x2.25 Dahlin 2x5.25 K. Miller 1x2mil Ullmark 3x4.5mil Mrazek 1x3.5mil Used Fitzgerald as the D prospect in the NJD trade (using family ties against him) Retained half of Risto's salary. Swapped Copp and Skinner positionally. Ended up with 7.2 mil or so in cap space. I traded Boston's 2nd for Nick Leddy who is 1x5.5mil and another LHD to add further veterancy to our back end. So my D was (until McCabe returns) Dahlin - Borgen Leddy - Jokiharju Bryson - Miller When McCabe returns, barring Bryson playing incredible I'd slot McCabe in there and occasionally swap Miller with Bryson based on the opponents. A nice combo of Playoff experience and youngsters.
