  1. Made some adjustments but this is what I came up with. https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/2541333 One thing for certain, the team would be extremely young
  2. I'm from Buffalo so yes. If I were in Eichel's spot, I'd be certainly ticked off but I'd honestly want to stay and try to fix it. I wouldn't want to demand a trade and have that loom over me for the rest of my career. For instance, if I don't win a Cup and had fenagled my way off the team I was drafted by, I will always be seen as a great player but remembered by few. If anything I'll always have a stigma on my back for forcing a trade as that would be my most "famous" moment of my career. Even worse, if the players acquired for me win a Cup for my former team. Then you become Eric Lindros, a Cupless great player that is more known for his forced trade than his career accomplishments by anyone outside Philly. Even if you never win a Cup, if you spend the vast majority of your career on your 1st team and were a great player; you will always be remembered by that city's fans and respected by outsiders looking in. Hockey is very much still an old school mentality ran system. Loyalty and team contributions outweigh a player's individual achievements 9 times out of 10.
  3. Boston wants him? Starts with Pasta and McAvoy and then keep adding until I say to stop.
  4. I’ve learned not to really pay much attention to the usual comments. To sum them up All top prospects aren’t for sale. Eichel will be traded for peanuts so just deal with it. Ristolainen is worthless Reinhart isn’t even worth 9th OA The Sabres should just take our cap dump because .....
  5. I see 2 scenarios: 1. The Sabres know there is a good chance they won't have a Top 12 F spot for Okposo and are at very least floating the idea to Seattle so that Kyle can have more of chance to play. 2. The Sabres are merely investigating costs for the expansion draft and are considering taking on a different contract in the Eichel trade thus are trying to separate themselves from his 2x6mil.
  6. Made another random team. https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/2538037
  7. The only one I pause at is Gourde, he's been an unsung star for them in the playoffs. His defensive play and PK is incredible. Palat is still good but they have a glutton of wingers and Johnson is on the serious decline.
  8. I don't think it was a direct A to B cause to effect but I do certainly think it had to do with ROR's end of season fiasco.
  9. Ironic, ROR left Colorado and may have left Buffalo due to him not getting the Captaincy. Now ROR getting the C is causing a guy to leave.
  10. You hold onto Eichel then, there are zero acceptable scenarios in which we trade Eichel and don’t bring a multiple blue chip assets rather that be Zegras and 3OA or 8th and Byfield.
  11. An alternate to the other Eichel one https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/2530291
  12. Here's a keeping Eichel scenario https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/474820?post_id=2489652
  13. If I'm trading Reinhart it will be entirely based on getting a Top 10 pick this year at least and perhaps a prospect and/or 1 year cap dump depending on his value.
  14. Duncan Keith? Zach Bogosian?
  15. I’d give Seattle a 5th to take Miller
  16. NRD, a rather legit source on Twitter, also agreed with Chad and Lance. Said the Sabres will walk away with Eklund after the draft. He also added if we end up with another Top 5 pick it would be assured and that would line up with the 3 listed. If we end up with 1&3 I could easily see them then taking Eklund 1OA and then choosing between Power and Hughes If Seattle takes Beniers. For instance, even if they rank them 1. Power 2. Eklund 3. Hughes Depending on their separation, Taking Eklund makes sense since it assures them 2 of the 3 while also assuring we have 1 F and 1 D
  17. Seems like a rather solid hire. From the way it looks Nightingale was demoted again. He's gone from Director of Analytics and Scouting to Head of Analytics and Director of Pro Scouting to now merely Asst. Director of Pro Scouting. I guess he's well liked by Adams, but didn't impress with his one year stint at the top hence he has been supplanted.
  18. Happy 4th of July! Still one of my favorite commercials
  19. Not exactly sure how to process that one, are they going to offer Byram and Newhook plus or something?
  20. I’m not just taking the best offer to rid ourselves of the best player we have
  21. Hold firm Adams. part of me is beginning to wonder if the analysts are playing this trade idea more than it actually is?
  22. Yes, it completely changes the city as a whole. Buffalo would no longer be a champion-less city. Perhaps we sign Briere, and have a serious contender that lasts into the early 2010s.
