  1. Hmmmm. Didn't mean to out him unnecessarily; I was certain it was acknowledged in another thread. In fact, how would I have known otherwise?
  2. Ugh. Was hoping Neo would drop in to save me, but unless I need all sorts of medications, it's been revealed that Neo's Legacy is, well, Neo's Legacy. In biological terms. Fruit of the loins. Christ, I need to go to bed.
  3. Stone Enjoy by 2/14/16 Unfiltered IPA. (I assume / hope they keep making this and change the date. Though my wife bought it and informed me it was $16 for a six, so who knows?) 9.4% alcohol. Doesn't taste like it. Usually, when the alcohol content is taken to such absurd levels (looking at you, Brooklyn) it just tastes like isopropyl. This stuff is delicious. If you like IPA's.
  4. Duuuuuude... have a look at the handle again...
  5. It's clearly a matter of intelligence, in an O'Henry sort of way...
  6. Time for my semi-monthly screw Jack Edwards post... https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/jack-edwards-rips-chris-stewart-s-iq--ducks-forward-hits-back--video-055721046.html This from the guy who had to change his pants after Lucic steamrolled Miller. Of all the pricks who ever pricked, Edwards is just about the biggest prick. Nothing in this post has anything to do with the fact that I'm in the middle of my second week on night shift and am three beers into the morning. Nope...
  7. I can't but think of Douglas Adams and his all-too prescient quote from The Restaurant at the End of the Universe: "The major problem—one of the major problems, for there are several—one of the many major problems with governing people is that of whom you get to do it; or rather of who manages to get people to let them do it to them. To summarize: it is a well-known fact that those people who must want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it. To summarize the summary: anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job.”
  8. Nice win to go into the break with. I can't wait until Eichel figures this league out. Pysyk needs to spend some serious time in the weight room. Lehner is looking like he's getting his feet under him. Montreal then Boston twice after the ASG. Should be interesting.
  9. Living in Virginia, where it snows infrequently enough that everyone loses their , but frequently enough that everyone should know better, is hilarious. I can confirm the post-apocalyptic states of all local grocery stores. My locality will do alright keeping the streets in order, but there may be a three foot wall of snow waiting for me at the city line. Ugh. At least I just got done with the work week and am off until Monday night. Plenty of time to stay indoors with a four-year old. Uh oh....
  10. You clearly value the ASG much, much higher than the players do. Give it a poll, I bet 100% of the players would tell you they'd rather not bother with it. Corsby and Jagr are the only ones (that come to mind) with the stroke to actually not bother.
  11. Again, we've seen exactly one game and ten minutes of Lehner this year. Calling the trade a bust is a bit premature, unless you're going to hold him personally accountable for the injury. I have a good deal of confidence that he'll get it in gear shortly. ROBIN LEHNER WILL BE F.... Oh I can't do it.
  12. Ryan White's in trouble for this...
  13. Entirely. Unfortunately, the top of the league would run away and hide from the bottom by this point every year, which is why it will never happen.

    Tank 3.0

If management believes Lehner to be the best goalie they have, and if he's healthy, then he should play. It is exactly the opposite of a tank move. The judgement of management may or may not be correct, but them's the dice they have to roll.
  15. Eichel is probably slamming into, the dreaded NCAA wall about now. The limits on how many games there are and how much you can practice do not translate well to an NHL schedule. He gets a pass (from me anyway, as much as that's worth) for the remainder of the season. Next year, however, we're expecting him to be spitting straight fire...
  16. I've always preferred Export. Can't get it down here...
  17. Random thought: when was the last time the Sabres played a game at the FNC with something riding on it? Where there was anticipation behind it, and something tangible depending on the outcome? The infamous game against Arizona that made Mike Weber nine kinds of sad. As I recall, no shortage of atmosphere for that game. As singular as that situation was, it tells me it's not the fans who are the problem. Simple solution. Put a product on the ice worthy of getting excited about, and people will get excited about it.
  18. Someone really needs to have a word with Phil about his beard, though. Creepy.
  19. Given the state of the Sabres offense, all goals should be considered to be primary scoring until further notice.
