  1. In for another season. Good luck all. Will be changing my team name this year though... lol
  2. For anyone who cares, here is mine. I see people posting personal ones so figured i would too.
  3. Agreed. He was plan-B after Richards and our last memory of Leino before giving him the big payday was his goal against us on Easter in overtime. All the talk after signing Leino is that his best was still to come. I think it's hilarious that the idea for this thread was taken from the Puck Daddy article on how Tim Connolly is the most disappointing player in our franchise history, yet he has received 0 votes out of 31 and Leino himself has gotten 22.
  4. It's confirmed. Erie Otters posted it on twitter and then Mike Harrington confirmed it, too.
  5. The way i think it works and how i've done it was i pledged $20 when i got nominated. I did the challenge and nominated 3 people, when they do it, i will put in $20 per person who does it, if one of them bails, they owe $100.
  6. And even more reason why they desperately need a mega stadium in Toronto.
  7. How about, moving Grosek for Doug Gilmour and JP Dumont? Very lopsided...
  8. I think it's irrelevant. Obviously the Sabres want to keep paying fans happy, but at the same time, how many will jump to buy season tickets and how big will the waiting list become if the Sabres are able to land Connor McDavid?
  9. I think he'll surely get a look in the 9 games he allowed to play with us, but i don't think it's a lock he stays with us.
  10. Only song i have ever heard of Gogol Bordello is "Lets Get Crazy". It was a popular song at the bars for Euro 2012 when i was there.
  11. In all seriousness, that's a good landing spot for him. They have a very good management staff there and he can just focus on the hockey department. His flaws kept getting bigger and bigger each time he spoke to the media. Cody McCormick, without mentioning him by name, pretty much dissed him too. Cody was on Hockey Hotline and Kevin or Peters asked him if the attitude around the club seems different NOW then it was a year ago, despite knowing both times it was gonna be a tough season? McCormick said much more excitment now, and a outlook for the future. It hurt each time they were told it was gonna be bad and suffering. Took a toll on the team.
  12. Sorry in advance if it was mentioned somewhere else, but Cory Conacher signed with the Isles.
  13. The Sabres finally have gotten through to him, which is good to see. Obviously the road is still very long to determine his success. The next guy they need to get on board is Joel Armia. Not exactly the hardest worker in the world either...
  14. Very sad. My prayers are with RJ and his family.
  15. I think thats an excellent move by Edmonton. As long as they can fill the 2C slot via free agency or a trade, this should really be a good deal for them. I'm also assuming they don't have Leon pencilled in as a 2C.
  16. Brazil vs. Argentina final.
  17. Big games tomorrow. My picks: Atletico, Hull and Dortmund.
  18. Congrats bud!
  19. vipbox.tv check it out.
  20. What in the world could/would he say? Why do people always want to hear from Pegula? Personally, unless they are firing the GM or President, i never want to hear Pegula speak. Let the hockey people do the work.
  21. We got rid of Mike Weber?
  22. Not sure why he was here, but Brendan Perlini was here for a game also, like a month ago or so. He was a guest of the Sabres per Jason Woolley, who is his agent.
  23. Exactly. He's definitely a NHL talent. Like you said, he's not a guy who will blow up the scoreboard, but is very useful in puck possession and fighting/winning pucks in the dirty areas, such as the corners. And he's an above average defensive forward. I think he's almost a lock to center the 3rd or 4th line next season in Buffalo.
  24. I guess. But you can go through every draft and "re-draft". He's a heck of a player, but if we drafted him, we'd miss out on Risto, and the following year wouldn't have finished dead last and missed out on Ekblad, and next thing you know is we're creeping into the next Edmonton Oilers. He got a first rd pick for Thomas Vanek. Among many other big pieces of the future puzzle. Not a fan of the Darcy regime, but he has set Murray up nicely. I agree. And if they are not the best, the fact of having 3-4 first round picks next two drafts surely will put them over the top and even separate themselves from the 2nd best pool.
