Yeah but Karlsson struggled too. It's a tough to rate him on how he plays how because even though the level of play is much weaker then NHL, it's still a 17 year old kid playing against men. I heard a scout say that he thinks he'll remain in Sweden next season and then go straight to the NHL in 2016/17 season.

Interesting to me that Oliver Kylington is dropping like a rock. He was once seen as a top-10 pick. He has a lot of similarities to Erik Karlsson. I really think Murray will try to move up and get him, with our inability to move out of our own end. Maybe packaging the 2 late firsts for a 10-14 selection to ensure him? I think it'd be a steal for the Sabres to walk out of this draft with a top-3 pick and Kylington.

Theres no way that theres anyone on here who legit thinks we can we this game right? Tampa is 15-4-1 at home, 7-2-1 in last 10, and a leagues lead in goals with 138. Can the Sabres hold up and not lose corsi by over 40 tonight? Speaking of which, they've got to be getting real close to reaching -1000 corsi on the season right?

I find it hilarious that Nolan blames a player for a bad penalty so much. The penalties only got magnified because Carolina scored twice in that time frame. But a guy like Hodgson, with 6 points in 41 games gets a pass?

Definitely no. Sabres currently have over 14k season tix holders and BCA could only fit like 12.8 or something. I'm in Rochester and don't believe they should ever play here again unless it's pre-season. On a side-note, I remember they used to hold camp here for some time. At MCC and Thomas Creek. Statistically, the Sabres are the worst passing team in the league. Is Stewart the worst of them all? Idk. But considering that's not his role and he succeeds in other areas of the game, I don't think it matters much. His lack of passing gets washed away if he was playing on a better passing team where he could focus on the dirty areas of the ice.

You're basing this on 24 games? Pretty small example size, no? Also, Flynn plays against teams fourth lines. Sees a lot of grinders and doesn't play against high-caliber scorers.

No, we don't. But the margin for error for draft and future trades is very tiny if we want to become a legit team. I once read a book, years ago, and Scotty Bowman in it said the easiest job in hockey (as GM) is to take a terrible team and turn them into a good team. But, said the HARDEST part as a GM is taking the team from good into a contender. If the Sabres keep winning and land with the 7-9th picks in the draft, they'll eventually become good, they'll replace the weaker players with graduating prospects and make some trades. But, will when will they jump into that next category? Who knows. Just ask Colorado how hard it is. They shocked everyone last season, most people didn't even think Patrick Roy would make the playoffs, they got the top seed in the West and now their back to earth.
