It's amazing watching these games. The Sabres have been big underdogs in Las Vegas in every single game. They've been badly outplayed in almost every game they've played and still, they are in games against good teams on a nightly basis. Hockey is a extremely lucky and random sport. People should really take note for when the Sabres are good again and get beaten by a bad team on a Friday night and we start to freak out. lol

It took him 33 NHL games to score his first goal. While obviously playing with less talent, he was also playing against weaker talent too. Even Ted Nolan admitted several times this season that Larsson has failed to "earn" more ice-time. In the stretch you're talking about, he has 1 goal in his last 10 games. Which was against Chicago, which by the way Larsson was on the ice for BOTH of the Toews goals late in the game. Larsson has shown to be a pretty decent puck possesson player, a very effective faceoff guy and shown flashes that when given the oppertunity, he can score, but he has limitations. That's what is pointing him being a heck of a 4th line centerman with potential of playing on the 3rd.

And the fact Lindback was burned for two really late goals the night before probably wasn't the best to send him out. Had the Sabres lost 4-3 in "normal" fashion on Friday i think he'd start again on Saturday.

On top of my head i could only name one... Game 6 vs. Philly where Ville Leino scored in over time to beat us.

What is this based on? The reason that its such a big deal this year is because two players are considered "generational" talents. If it was just McDavid, it wouldn't be as obvious of teams trying to fight for the bottom. That said, i think the NHL would prefer teams like Coyotes and Buffalo "tanking" then a Pittsburgh missing the playoffs and winning the lottery. Talk about ruining the league..

Larsson a top line center in the NHL? You should really raise your expectations for the franchise.

Im not so sure about that? It all depends on needs. Paul Gaustad once cost a 1st round pick from a team that builds and values the draft extremely high. Enroth hasn't played very well lately, but im sure there is a few GMs around the league who put the blame at total-shots against (corsi) and think with a better defense and puck possesson, Enroth for a 2nd rounder could be a bargain. Nope. Murray just said things are very quiet right now.

Im not sure how bad it'd look? We took a chance and it didnt quite workout. His body is pretty fragile at this point of his career, i am not so sure he has too many years left in him and does he want to spend them rebuilding? I think it'd be a classy move to send him to a winner. The blueline is going to need some veterans next season for sure but i think Marc Methot from Ottawa will be priority number one. With/or without Myers.

It's very viable prior to game nights if you don't need to have a table. If you show up at 6pm on a game night expecting a table then you're only fooling yourselve. It was always impossible at Pearl or Cobblstone to get a table at that time too. But, even if theres a wait, its usually very small to go in to the bar area. Once in the bar, its very easy access to get beers because they don't over pack the place and theres several bars. Ive gone there almost each game i've been too and always go to the bar. Longest ive waited was like 15 minutes. But once you're in, theres no wait.

Neuvirth in goal tonight.

Yeah but Karlsson struggled too. It's a tough to rate him on how he plays how because even though the level of play is much weaker then NHL, it's still a 17 year old kid playing against men. I heard a scout say that he thinks he'll remain in Sweden next season and then go straight to the NHL in 2016/17 season.

Interesting to me that Oliver Kylington is dropping like a rock. He was once seen as a top-10 pick. He has a lot of similarities to Erik Karlsson. I really think Murray will try to move up and get him, with our inability to move out of our own end. Maybe packaging the 2 late firsts for a 10-14 selection to ensure him? I think it'd be a steal for the Sabres to walk out of this draft with a top-3 pick and Kylington.

Theres no way that theres anyone on here who legit thinks we can we this game right? Tampa is 15-4-1 at home, 7-2-1 in last 10, and a leagues lead in goals with 138. Can the Sabres hold up and not lose corsi by over 40 tonight? Speaking of which, they've got to be getting real close to reaching -1000 corsi on the season right?
