  1. Joe Micheletti said during last night's broadcast, that several GMs he's spoken to, told him that deals will start to come in this weekend.
  2. Girgensons and Zadorov for Ryan Kesler? lol cmon people
  3. Not saying this dude is credible, but he also co-founded Octagon sports agency with Mike Liut, who is Ryan Miller's agent. I don't see any reason for Lawton to make anything up?
  4. The way he talked, it seems like he's more open to leaving then Moulson or Ott are. haha
  5. You just described the 2016 World Cup of Hockey.
  6. Who will pay for the fact Tavares or Zetterberg is injured? IOC won't pay for their time injured.
  7. Keep the NHLers at home. There is too much risk and too little reward for NHL owners. Olympic hockey is amazing, i love it, as i do other Olympic sports, but from a business standpoint, it makes little to no sense. Atleast 6 major injuries from the Olympics that will effect NHL teams. Owners get nothing in return from a money-making machine that Olympic hockey is, and lose it all when one of their stars gets injured. No thanks. The real question we should be asking is, what solution is there? If pros are still allowed to attend, then Russians will dominate. The best idea i've heard, was similar to soccer. Send a U-23 squad. Don't stop the NHL but give teams the decision if they want to send a player under the age of 23 to the Olympics. Therefore, you still have a high level of hockey and some NHLers still participate.
  8. His sister retweeted the KHL report and the follow up tweet that said "Prince would be a good fit in Buffalo."
  9. While I would not be one of those calling him a "bum", it will take a while to turn this team around and many moves will need to be made in the next year and a half if we really want to become a good team again anytime soon, but the thing this, trading Moulson and Ott is easy. I'm not going to pretend like i can be a NHL GM because i know it's a tough job, but that's one of the easier aspects of it. Any one of us could go and trade Moulson and Ott and get a solid return. Darcy Regier was the KING of trading UFAs. It's what he does with guys such as Ennis, Ehrhoff, Stafford, Myers, ect, that will separate Murray from a low end GM to a top-tier GM and that is what will truly shape up the Sabres going into the future. So, no, he doesn't need to make any out of the box moves in the next 10 days, but if he doesn't, the pressure only starts to build up for him.
  10. I think people are putting too much focus on the KHL thing. The big story about what tankalicious posted per the report, is Shane Prince has requested a trade.
  11. I still don't think theres a market for Miller. I don't know if anyone is willing to pay the price? I can see several teams, including Florida, St Louis and Minnesota try to bring him in as a free agent but i dont think they are willing to part with prospects. Florida because they're out of it anyways and St Louis/Minny because why disrupt their team when you can give it a shot to win now and try to land Miller as a free agent? Only true team out there i think is Washington. They have been flirting with contention for a long time, their GM is on thin ice, they need to do something to please Alex Ovechkin and they must know they are going nowhere anytime soon with their current goalies. They got to be pretty embarrassed that Ovie is having a remarkable season and they are on the outside looking in as of the Olympic break. I think Miller stays and Murray/PLF put a big emphasis on working with to re-sign him.
  12. Canada has struggled so far this tournament, but a huge difference between their previous games and the USA is that we are going try to force them to play our style, we will pressure them and we will attack them. USA isn't going to park a bus in front of Quick's goal and defend the passing lanes and try to block shots and hope that if anything does get through will be saved. We're going for the win. That said, USA is playing unreal right now like they are on a mission. Very determined group of players. I think USA wins and i don't think it'll be close. 4-2 USA.
  13. May has been working for Sportsnet's hockey coverage for a while, he's not new to being on tv.
  14. Not saying you're right, or wrong, because i don't know either way. And if i had to put money on a guess, i'd say you're right. But, what are you basing this on? Seems like a guess that is posted as a fact.
  15. No contender would want Foligno and unless Buffalo is getting a ridic package in return, no way they would trade him. Too valuable for the future.
  16. Thanks for ski jumper Kamil Stoch, im just waking up with one of the worst hangovers ive ever had. Very proud of my ski jumper! :)
  17. Not sure which crash you saw, because two guys crashed today. A slovak and a french ski jumper. In any case, both guys are fine. Slovak has a broken nose and french guy has torn his right knee ligaments.
  18. http://www.sbnation....dule-2014-sochi Anybody see that someone tried to hijack a plane from Ukraine and fly it to Sochi before it was intercepted by Turkish F-16's? http://www.nytimes.c...rref=world&_r=0 Anyhow, the guy who attempted to hijack the plane was wearing a Montreal Canadians #11 Koivu jersey. lol
  19. Our second game after break is NBCSN... rivalry night vs. Boston. lol
  20. Sabres have a very difficult schedule post-Olympics. And roster should be dismantled by early March. It'll take a miracle for this team not to finish dead last. Let's just hope the fix isn't on during the lottery.
  21. Who's to say the Sabres wanted to re-sign Miller?
