    You guys know Magic Johnson wants the Lakers to lose as many games as possible to get a good player. So yes I know most don't care about we he says but you can see a pattern between both leagues.

    I still think he should have been traded. I know why they let him go but letting a solid player go for nothing is just plain stupid. He could have got another pick or two out of any deal. I find it hard to believe we couldn't have landed another second or third rounder for the guy.

    People we all want the Sabres to do well but if your like me I want a superstar or franchise player to build around. We all know about McDavid and Eichel and both are gonna be good ones. The problem I have right now with the sabres doing well is for the ultimate goal. The Stanley Cup. Not being an also ran like how many years of the Sabres history! Yes drafting high doesn't guarntee success but this team hasn't had one or two superstars since LaFontaine and Mogilny. Yes I know we didn't get to the cup with both of them but I feel with all our prospects coming combined with one of the big two plus solid drafting this year sets us up for a long competitive run at not only the playoffs but the main goal the stanley cup.

    Just waiting for this team to get the mumps so they can start a nice long losing streak. I know that's bad to say but gee why in the world are they playing this good now. They ain't making no playoffs with this squad and I don't want to lose out on one of the big two.

    This is a good point. I still want one of the big two. We need a superstar up front. Yes we had good players up front in franchise history but this team hasn't has star power up front since the 90's! I'm talking LaFontaine and Mogilny. Yes we had two great players up front but the rest of the team wasn't good enough. I believe with all the picks, prospects and what we currently have combined with one of the top two in the draft this year we could have the makings of something special. People talk about Detriot but the still have all stars mixed with a lot of above average talent.

    I don't trade Myers unless we get the better of the deal. I think our top 4 defenseman are taking shape. Yes the goaltending has been great but I'm liking what I see out of both of the kids and Myers and Gorges seems like a good pair. I don't care how many shots teams are getting its all about the quality.

    I'm still on the tank side but Arizona and Edmonton might be worse than us. And now with the talk of moving Yandle and almost any player off Edmonton that might be tough trying to beat out either of those two finishing last. I'm guessing we pick out of the top 2 but no more than 5.

    I hope not but by the way the coaches and Enroth is playing we might and I said might play ourselves out of a top 5 pick. I told everybody before watch out for Arizona to be contending for McDavid because they lack offense and right now with all the talk of Yandle being moved they could finish right at the bottom with Edmonton. I agree with others u draft either McDavid and Eichel with a strong draft this year and all the prospects from previous drafts u should be contending for a long time. Don't ###### this up Buffalo. One question I have is what to do with both current goalies with all the ones we currently have in the system.

    If the league expands to Las Vegas they are fools! Fix Florida and Arizona before you try to expand here in Las Vegas. We don't have enough local fans to make this work. We couldn't sell out minor league hockey with far less seats than an NHL arena. It will be another flop. I could see MLS working here because of all the Hispanics.

    I live in Las Vegas and we don't have enough hockey fans here to fill a 16,000 seat arena on a nightly basis. NHL is stupid for even thinking about Vegas. Why not look at Arizona and Florida and try to help them out instead of adding a third team to that list that would struggle to fill seats. I live in Vegas and will tell u it's not gonna work. MLS team good chance because of all the Hispanic population but hockey big fat negative.

    And what happens if the Sabres finish last and lose the lottery? Yes we get Eichel but what if he decides to stay another year in college ?

    That's what I think this team is really bad. I'm just hoping these other bottom teams start making some serious space between us. I'm shocked how Columbus is playing but don't they have some key players injured right now.

    People think the Islanders aren't for real now? They look like a playoff team to me. Which my guess if we are lucky will be drafting 1 or 2, and I'm guessing the other first rounders in the 20's. The only way I see the Islanders start falling if they get riddled by injuries.

    Your kidding right or did u hit your head on something. Not trying to piss u off but I highly doubt they will be out of the bottom ten that quickly. Even with McDavid that's a lot to ask a young player and if they get Eichel instead who knows if he leaves college right away.

    I agree I have been saying this for awhile now. I think LaFontaine wanted to keep several veterans last season but I think the plan was already in play between Pegula,Murray, Devine, the scouts and Ted Black. I think they didn't want to change the plan and that's why LaFontaine decided to bail. Because he knew it would take this team to a new low with no guarntee of putting together a Stanley Cup contender.

    When I went to Anaheim and Los Angeles I thought Zemgus was Buffalo's best player he just does it all and he seems like he always in the right spots.

    He actually played here in Las Vegas in the ECHL. He was solid when he was here. The other guys we had here I Vegas were Adam Cracknell and Deryk Engelland. We were Calgary flames farm team at one time.

    Crazy thing here in Las Vegas their is supposedly talk between MGM and the nhl for expansion. Their is not enough hockey fans here in Las Vegas to support an nhl team. They could support a Basketball or a major league soccer team but nhl team is a big fat negative. I know the casino would use tickets for high rollers and other specials but I just don't seeing it working here. The cities that should get an expansion team is one that can actually keep the stands full.

    I agree we need players but how many teams are going to send us a decent player that is young and on the upswing especially the wat the guys are currently performing. I'm guessing Murray wants the core of this team the last two drafts and this one coming up with a sprinkle of veterans for leadership until the kids are ready to resume that role. Like others said u can't move every decent player for picks because we need players now not 3-5 years. I do expect Stafford, Stewart, Mezaros, and possibly Benoit could be moved by the deadline. Out of all my years watching the Sabres I thought last year was bad but this team is much worse. I don't think Murray lets his contract expire and let's him walk for nothing. I agree we need players but it might be better to throw him in on a trade for a seasoned prospect

    This team could possibly be one one the worst ever. They can't even score. I didn't watch but I'm glad I didn't. I'm just glad Carolina won. This team should finish last overall. They are that bad. Not enough shots and how many times have they been shut out already this season.

    I agree at least they will be entertaining and Kaleta will be added to the PK unit.

    Carolina even though we beat them they were without their key players. Right now they aren't getting outshot like we are and at least have a few players to build around with both Staal's and Skinner.
