Reinhart had 57 goals last year, FFS! Brandon Montour is back to racking up twice the points as he did in Buffalo. Except of course that one season where he quadrupled it, but I digress. The verdict still stands : The Sabres. Are. A. Massive. Tub. Of. *****.

Trevor Zegras is “Immature Jack Eichel” on steroids. Hard pass. This team needs maturity and stable work ethic. Two of which are traits that’ll make Zegras react like a vampire having a crucifix showed in his face.

It means the decade of watching seemingly good players come in and immediately drop to the level of the current roster, has made me an utter cynic.

Any team with Kyle Okposo playing a regular shift, doesn’t have “it”, whatever that means. The guy was an overpaid bum from day 1.

No, we tanked when our previous core failed because losing was acceptable. The Roy, Pominville, Stafford, Ennis, Myers years were the shitshow that got us all into this god-awful mess in the first place. Losing being acceptable was a culture well in place before the tank.

People have really short memories around here. That culture was introduced by the likes of Roy, Pominville, Stafford of the late 00’s. KA never built this, he just failed to change it. Just like everyone else.
