I’ve never been in the “he was a great player, so he must be a great coach” camp. In fact, I think the opposite is often the case. Thus, I shouldn’t mind Matt Ellis being a coach. But I do. I do mind. A lot. Matt Ellis shouldn’t be a coach, not even at pee-wee level.

The goalie situation was entirely avoidable, it’s simply terrible team management.

But the NHL hands out three games for ending people’s careers….

To some teams, more than others… And this makes zero sense. Because he’s an older player, he’ll automatically make a good coach?? Why? If he’s no longer an asset on the ice, he can watch from the pressbox.

And occasionally, he throws a bone-jarring hit too.

Good win. Some nice ugly scoring chances throughout the game, created from hard work and getting their noses dirty.

A point lost in october certainly bothered my, last year.

I’m sorry, but I just don’t see it. Would like to be wrong, but I don’t see who’s going to rise to the occasion? This is an organisation of people who hang their heads when the going gets tough, not the other way around. We’ll be in a 10-game hole mid-december this way.

I have a ton of things to say about the Sabres, but the team is saying it all themselves. Good lord, what a disappointment.

Well, no you’re right. Not always. Just pretty damn close to always. But missing for the 12th straight season - by 1 or 15 points - is not “fine”.
