Oh people would go to see an ECHL game is the Sabres are out of town, out of curiosity at least. Look at the crowds the Amerks pull. I have to imagine TP is going to put resources in Elmira if those are mostly Sabres prospects there. Why wouldn't he? Make the Sabres a top notch operation top to bottom. PTR

We've had 4 Altimas between the wife and I since '05. Love them. The '14 gets 39mpg hwy. Big, roomy, cost me under $19K, has the rear camera and bluetooth. Not only can I make calls hands-free but I can stream audio too. So I can listen to WGR in my car.

I hope today is a reminder that tanking for a player is stupid. Yes, not a huge deal we get #2 this year. But if this were 2015 and we put up with two seasons like the one we just had and we didn't get the top pick I'd want to vomit. We'll probably have the Isles 2015 pick anyway and I'll bet they will stink next year too, so we'll have a shot at next years lottery without having to tank..

I was at the game and people were actually cheering his name "Let's Go Leino!" And they gave him a standing-O when he came out for the shootout. Everytime he had the puck fans shouted "shoooot!!" Sabres fans gave him more support than you would expect and he still refused to shoot the puck or score, and his shootout attempt was a hilariously bad representation of his entire Sabres career. FIgure another $1 increase for 300 level seats and we're talking $2,246 a pair, $82 more. Whatever.

Not down, but hold steady for a season in recognition that the JV team they will be fielding is not worth a price increase? Would be a nice PR move to hold prices for one season.

But I've heard that Western NHL clubs want their teams closer. You might wind up with 5 teams on the west coast (If Seattle gets a team.) Maybe south is not the best idea but I think it's a real shame that cities that support minor hockey lose teams.

Broken up into smaller regional divisions. There is too much travel and too many good hockey markets are being ignored because of it. The St. John's Icecaps will leave at the end of this season because the rest of the AHL teams don't want to travel that far, even though they sell out every game. Why not have a Maritime Canada division, a Northeast US division, Western US and Southern US? NO inter-divisional play until the final playoff rounds. PTR

Would Hasek be any worse than our AHL backups? That would be fun to see.

I think our players are just trying to survive the season, seeing as we are losing a player per game. It's insane. It might also be a lot to expect when you have a team with a foot on the bus already. Welcome to the Tank! What did you expect? Get ready for more of the same.

How many female players change with the guys. We have 5 women in the league I play in and they all do. Guys try to keep things modest but they also don't let their presence stop them from using the shower, etc. (The women don't shower.) IMO being in the locker room helps team bonding. I recall teams where the female players changed separately. They would just show up on the bench at game time. They never really became part of the team. Most of the guys feel that we aren't there to get dates, we're there to play hockey. (Although I know one case where a female player got married to a male teammate.) The women are treated like any other player. Being able to talk about the game before, then relax with a beer after is an important part of why we play hockey, and when female players join in that they are more accepted as part of the team. I was just taking stock of my Sabres account looking at the shortfall I'll have to cover for next year. Then it struck me that they might try to raise prices again. Do you think they have the 'nads to do that after the year we just went through and will likely go through again?

Just speed-watched the game on the DVR. Lew is no Ryan Miller. But today I heard the Sabres played 44 players on their roster this season. 44! Lew is the 5th stringer. Just keep that in mind.
