  1. I mean, a cappuccino is literally just espresso with steamed milk foam on top, and espresso is just super strong coffee. I'm a black coffee guy myself but I'm not going to say "you don't like coffee" because you put cream in it.
  2. Give me an example with an extant team and we can talk. Any superstar trade over the last 2 decades has gone the wrong way for the team trading them away. You're never going to get a Lindros return for Eichel anyways, if for no other reason than because people don't want to be the next Lindros trade. Just like we'll never see another Herschel Walker trade in the NFL.
  3. You cannot win a trade when you are trading the better player, you only lose it. "Its time for a change" is the stupidest reason to trade a player, as we saw in O'Reilly. You don't trade a good to great young player with term on their contract just because the team around him has been absolute crap for years. Its not his fault in the years he's been here they've been unable to bring in a halfway decent defense or goalie. That said, his NTC is going to kick in soon and they are absolutely going to trade him now for two firsts, a second, a 29 year old defenseman who "just needs a change of scenery", and the fourth best prospect the team they trade him to has to offer, so just get ready for it.
  4. Thinking billionares are somehow better than us is basically everything that's wrong with America.
  5. Not sure you could call me young, but I'm a millenial so maybe I count. 'Woke' as I may be, I think its a fair question. To Kim's credit, she did have that time at "Fracking USA", and I think she was also involved with Black River, their country music label. If nothing else she's been doing what she's doing at PSE for close to a decade now, and there's no reason to assume she's done any less than Terry, even. I'd say its a fair question for most sports team owners, though, who by and large have nothing making them any more qualified to run a sports team than you or me. I also tend to think most billionaires are basically frauds who started with money and then got lucky with their investments later, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, I guess.
  6. its not really up to them, they're owned by Entercom, who owns Radio.com.
  7. yeah, I know on the Bills broadcast Sal has been doing his bit from home, and I'm pretty sure John Murphy is doing the same. I'm sure they can get him a setup.
  8. You could just feel Hero Ball Josh a brewin' there. He was getting frustrated by the defense and they were about to be down heading into the half. That pick-six gave him enough breathing room to settle himself again at just the right time. Allen has been amazingly better this year. Even with all my qualms about him in the long term, any time he has the ball this year I just assume they'll score. That's a hell of a feeling for someone who's grown up in the drought years.
  9. This and the wideouts are my one remaining concern. If Allen can only succeed when he has the perfect system for him and 3 wide outs who each have a 100ft catch radius, that doesn't equal long term success. Injuries happen, coaches leave, free agency and retirement are a thing. But this year is fun, so I'm trying to just enjoy it. And he's easily surpassed any expectations I ever had for him.
  10. I feel like my "Allen isn't very good" island is getting lonelier. But I'm not getting off yet!
  11. Sounds like a great way to make me hate playing video games.
  12. I think mine can also be partly be pinned on depression at the time, which really is the perfect emotion to associate with that jersey.
  13. I bought a full price Paul Gaustadt white slug, on credit, with money I didn't have, because I was an idiot child.
  14. just making the shoulder yoke royal blue instead of navy actually makes the original turdburger 100% more palatable. Its still terrible (two different yellows?!), but its something.
  15. "You guys said you wanted the Black and Red as thirds, and we heard you loud and clear!"
  16. Not for nothing, but my grandfather stopped watching baseball saying similar things like, 40 years ago.
  17. MiLB already cancelled their season, I wouldn't be surprised if the AHL does the same.
  18. I know his rep has waned in the last years, but there was a time when he was the guy I liked the most on the radio for sports news. I think he never really kept up with the modern NHL but I always liked him as a guy. Good luck to him.
