Who is Savoie's goalie Hauser and has he been drafted... get him

Too many injuries up the middle on D and not enough depth... they got blown off the line by another good line and good running back... And I think signing Sanders was a mistake, not that he isn't talented, but not enough Balls to go around and it is hurting chemistry. Would have been better investing in a running back and signing Fisher for O line.

Hockey analytics: Does size really matter in the NHL?
North Buffalo replied to SDS's topic in The Aud Club
Fair enough except that imo it is easier to find guys smaller maybe a matter of degrees... I wonder if there is a cut off in difference both on offense and defense in that equation... is 10 lbs and 2 inches? or 20 lbs and 4 inches and when does size have diminishing returns based on ice size and the ability of a smaller player to get under and outleverage a bigger guy all things being equal at a playoff level. -

Yes and my point remains... it made blanket conclusions without explaining how other factors were held constant... Even the stats they used were simplistic and not at all conclusive... -

I am not sure how the things like speed and talent.. hand eye coordination, stick handling and moxie are held constant... Not sure you could measure those things accurately with size. Gotta think size does matter, but not enough big guys have the talent of some of the speedy shifty small guys with heart. If a bigger guy has all those things like Mario and Jagr than sure size matters... but those kind of guys are hard to find and gotta think pure hockey talent matters most, however you quantify it. -
At times... I got stronger but didnt gain weight... was eating protein shakes etc but couldnt gain much... I probably had a body fat percentage of less 2%. One summer as a courier in DC heat dropped to 137 til it cooled down and I could gain some back... this was when I was 20. Normal times I could stay between 165-170 but that was my max... now almost 60 I weigh just short of 200 but I am not exercising the way I used to.

Some of late teens early 20s but i didnt hit 180 til after 30. I am just saying these guys play hockey almost everyday... for some high metabolism guys it is difficult to put on weight... no you absoluted that everyone that age could put on weight and gain bulk... Im just saying for some teens and young adults its not so easy... rather eating that much pretty much sucked and I wasnt the only one. Yeh for some guys it wasnt a big deal and they could gain bulk but you painted a broad brush...

Liger Im betting the latter... I couldnt put on significant weight til I turned 30... I could think about exercise back then and loose weight. Had to eat 5 meals a day and a pint of ice cream to keep weight on when I consistently worked out. PS I worked as a bicycle courier in college in DC.. 50 miles of sprint work a day... For some it isnt easy.

Still a good road win and they played great in the second... so let them keep learning... sometimes its takes a young team a few times to figure it out. -
True and even for old guys they nag... like my wife... er I didn't say that... difference is pain tolerance and ability to play through stuff as well if playing makes injury worse... always hard to tell. But agreed PT guys may an issue. I have worked with a few and you can tell the really good ones v the the decent ones. Played the best hockey of my life after working with one for six months who was awesome... post covid she is no longer at the gym I go to... the others are decent but just not as good.

Predict the Sabres lineup for April 29 2022
North Buffalo replied to Crusader1969's topic in The Aud Club
Hi there Spicoli... dude... -
Lack of depth and they couldn't have any injuries as a result... At least they aren't calling up any of the young kids and forcing them into the lineup before they are ready. Having Mitts and Ollofson out as well as Samuelson who looked like he was ready to play with the big club hurts them with no depth. I chuckle every time I hear that Ollie has an inflammation issue... sorry you can outlive your teens but not really...

At this point John is gone... my only reaction at this point is "who cares"

It really hurts having Ollie and Mitts out, there really isn't much secondary scoring going on. Not enough depth yet on the big club.
