North Buffalo

So we are driving across country to Seattle with lots of stops. Hit the maid of the mist, Stayed in Mackinaw City at a great camp ground, then Lake Superior and the Madeleine Islands Kayaking in caves by a Red Cliff Cherokee guide wow!... thru Superior Wi and Duluth, Mn. picked up some water worn iron pellets on the beaches. then we stopped off in St Paul MN, saw the new Vikings stadium impressive and now in Meduro ND headed for glacier Nation Park but not before we some Buffalo and take pictures with a statue of Teddy Roosevelt. Then off too Seattle, Vancouver, Oregon Coast and San Fran Alcatraz. On way back hitting Yellowstone aand Badlands. Will Post pics on a gallery later. Neat for our boys. Camping in a converted homemade former haul trailer most of the way.

I live innorthern Westchester, love going into the city, but need my quiet at night. Im a country boy at heart and if I could get my wife to move back to western Ma, id probably do it. College towns nearby but country all over. Hiking, fishing and boating access. Close to ski areas and very quiet at night. Sigh... An hour gives you just enough stiff arm distance!

This and he may have just liked it. So all of the above and where he liked playing. Some kids just like playing up and others back. Not sure how much choice he might have had. Some kids are less flexible in where they will play...

Its the off season after a crappy offseason and the Sabres obviously need more than a top notch rookie D. Call me cynical, but not a surprise here. Pee a lot yea I could see it lol.

Sabres need a goalie... that being said they have too many holes to give up a kitchen sink in a deep draft. If they can sign a stop gap UFA great. Otherwise draft another goalie in 3rd or fourth and find some some shooters. ROR is just frustrated not playing on a winning team and learning how to be a leader. He is not a natural leader, but I think its coming. Thought initial he was down on the Sabres but now think he gets depressed after realizing what could have been. Dhalin will help a lot. Like the depth on D developing.... Borgen and that Euro D they reported will sign. ? Do Sabres pick a D in second or try and go after a scorer to develop?

Agree... maybe they talked to him and realized there was no chance... that being said Sabres need to build not trade away best players or picks. Rumors may be fake news to generate stories or spread by other teams looking for bargains.. Hopefully, JBots can put a lid on this crap... Buffalo media in negative mode like the fans... grasping at straws of inpatience.

Hoping the Sabres make it to a game 7. That means they are in the playoffs. I’ll worry about game 7 dread when they can show they can make it there.

If ROR goes then Sam may need to. Don’t see him fitting in with anyone else.

I agree Sam seemed to click best with ROR. Both good passers and roughly at same speed, but smart hockey players. Only guys on team who seemed to be able to execute give and goes consistently.

Aggree on DC. Remember them piping in crowd noise by putting in micro phones over the one lower bowl section with cap fans to drown out the majority of Sabre fans. Its a joke there and most dont even understand the game. Plus, no way I want a Putin stooge winning it all.

What I see is a guy with a quick release, strong arm who needs to lighten up on his short passes and not get happy feet in the pocket. He needs to slide step better. He intermediate and deep balls were very accurate and he can throw guys open if they have the hands to catch... Zay Jones needs to improve. Allen may need some time and good coaching. Remember he really has only been coached decently for two years in div 1. Hope his learning curve is fast... seems very coachable... dreaded word potential is there... but I think he will impress.

Agreed got to stay away from these arguements too sorry.The blue collar aura of Buffalo is long gone agreed. What I like about a hockey player such as Dhalin is a desire to win with the tools and moxie to work hard, grind at it. If that is blue coller so be it. Its a label nothing more and a journalistic catch phrase to say something like that. Used to be lunch pail.

Agree hyperbole can be over the top and yet Dahlin is just one guy. He will help a lot but the Sabres need more. A goalie to step up and some wingers. Hope they can figure a way to sign a FA who can score, but may need to wait for young guys to develop. Here is to hope with tempered expectations.

In today’s internet it is too easily misconstued, used when it shouldnt be and copied by our kids. Kid was copying, emphasis on kid, rap lyrics. Liger, nowadays racial cant be used, not just by african americans, gays, you name it. It just perpetuates the usage of those terms. Censorship does little good. Societal leadership and education makes useage go down. Companies need to not fund its usage. Just stating my opinion. Censorship laws do little good but calling bad language for what it is imo is fine.

Maybe but kid has been humble about it apologized and said they were stupid to do. Yes they were from a rap song and TV show. That being said even rappers should stop that language. Its all bs. Back when I was young and dumb we used all of the racially insensitive stuff not just for blacks. Its a different world and if it cant be used then it shouldnt be used by anyone. No double standard just to be cool or fit in. Plenty of cuss words that arent racially sensitive you can call someone.
