  1. I don’t think most people have this brain problem that I have where everything has to make sense. I’ve been trying to recalibrate on the fly to better understand things. You touched on the exact thing that gets me there. Money. Follow the money. This is all the league cares about, my brain just fails to recognize that in isolated circumstances.
  2. But why not do it on the picturesque landscape of falling snow in mid December. If they show a bunch of snow filled highlights to coincide with the event I’m going to be even more perplexed.
  3. Nope. It’s that sissy Komorov in his place. Guy literally got his face broken last season in a fight. This is the guy they want to get a look at? Sigh.
  4. Im officially on the “what the ***** does our strength and conditioning coaches do” bandwagon.
  5. It’s usually the NHL that completely botches logistical things like this but the Bills are going to “bring the storm” on October 5th? Rain maybe but we are still a ways off from snow. Why would this be scheduled for late November / December. Feels like they missed the target with this one.
  6. And this is why you pay your young stars early. It bites you in the ass occasionally (Power) but Dahlin and Tage making roughly half of Kaprizov is noteworthy.
  7. Making a difference and making the Sabres are two vastly different things
  8. I 1000% need a player in that role to rip faces off
  9. What does a 6’5” dman with no offensive talent supposed to bring to the table? Because it’s not lock down D. It’s barely serviceable.
  10. FBOW, I don’t go out to dinner very often. Almost always at the best of my parents or in laws. This time my son was pumped for some OG. So we hit up Olive Garden (btw the no reservations thing sucks because apparently most people are willing to wait 45+ minutes for table so for people like me who would scoff at this type of wait was locked in because of the boy. So we are waiting outside with at least 20 other people and chaos ensues. Kid behind us is throwing golf ball sized rocks in every direction, nearly hitting multiple elderly people who looked about one rock hit away from the end . Two toddler siblings across from us are going mostly unwatched. The younger one (I’d say under 2) get ahold of his sister’s Barbie and throws it over the bench they are sitting on. Big sis is having none of this and slams little bros head into the back of the bench. Everyone is now screaming. They are barely consoling the screaming toddler and have no control over anything with their kids. We then get inside. Almost every table has toddlers at it. Is this normal?
  11. But both are super easy to play against.
  12. Problem being is you can’t fabricate toughness with a couple of 4th liners. It helps but real team toughness comes from everyone and they have purged a lot of the passengers from the roster. But still employ a few players that are never going to help in that aspect.
  13. I’m pretty fecking dumb but I remember big words and an impeccable speller even without stupid ass autocorrect.
  14. As a faux Bolivian would say
  15. Do they call it the dressing room? Sounds like where I bring my salad for accouterments.
  16. Not sure if I care
  17. This is what’s wrong with the Sabres. Having Samuelsson and Power as key members of “the core” is dragging this franchise into Bolivia. (Thanks Mike). As long as Adams and Terry are the key talent evaluators, they ain’t winning *****. I have no hope for this franchise ever. Hope they move so I can root for the Kraken.
  18. Saliva’s Click Click Boom is much better
  19. I too am ready for the season. I have no ability to watch their games. I’ll thank the unnamed poster who sent me a shady link that infected my work computer with countless viruses. So I’m done. Good luck I guess. Kinda wish I never knew ya.
  20. This is another Adams faux pa, not just the original contract (which was 1000% due to his play being boosted by Dahlin) but the absolute refusal to offload this pylon. Perfect time to buy him out this offseason. Nope. He’s a part of the core. Sigh. At this point I just have to hope for him to retire due to injury in the near future. Hate his game, hate his face, hate that he’s still on this team.
  21. I can not explain how tickled I was watching Alien: Earth. I mean throw a Zenomorph into anything, and I’m game but the acting by Sydney Chandler, Timothy Olyphant and a couple others is fantastic. The other aliens are super creepy, the dystopian money rules society is about as realistic as future as I can picture. Just thoroughly enjoyable.
  22. He definitely was that for me. Unfortunately, his fans and national media supporters, who are constantly taking swings at Josh, make it extremely difficult to do so now. There is a very specific narrative with some members of the national media who bend over backwards to laud Lamar with praise while slighting Josh at every turn. I hate that social media and the sports screamers (normally referred to as talker) but in this case, all they do is scream, have made it impossible to support your guy without disrespecting all other players.
  23. Yep. This is 1000% the case. I’m very adept at my job. I just received a sizable bonus and raise because of my work performance. I have been passed over twice for the job a level above mine because I don’t always play nice. I’m definitely viewed as a gruff callus individual at work. I look like I eat babies for lunch. So, when a cute little old lady is up against me for the coveted position, they take grandma Betty over serial killer looking inky. Honestly, I never in a billion years pictured I’ve have the job I have let alone in position to be promoted yet again. But here I am, neck tattoos, substance abuse problems be damned, I understand why the company went in a different direction. I don’t kiss ass. I’m incapable of it. I hold a large amount of disdain for the “suits” upstairs. They know it and don’t want to include me in their reindeer games. I’ve accepted this is likely where I’m going to max out. I’m good with it. I make good money and enjoy my job thoroughly.
  24. It was an immediate sign that nothings really changed. Kesselring, Doan and to a lesser extent Danforth, Timmons and Jones are fine additions but the Sabres cannot continue to employ 5’9” dmen unless they are Brian Campbell or Lane Hutson. Having a run of the mill defenseman so undersized he simply cannot effectively play in the position in the NHL.
  25. Nope he’s #8 and will still be on the roster.
