  1. Eh, I don't put much stock into what Andrew Peters says. He's motivated financially to post non-sense like this to get clicks and viewers (listeners?).
  2. If I'm not on the highway, I'm pulling over 100% of the time and letting the tailgater through. I won't tolerate someone driving 2 feet from my bumper. I was a serial tailgater in my younger days like @Weave. It's dangerous and unnecessary. I will admit I'll speed up and ensure the driver that just passed me is aware I'm right behind them without getting too close. This usually causes some concern on their part as I look like a criminal (if the shoe fits).
  3. Coffee with Italian Sauage is certainly a choice.
  4. A delicacy among Saskatchewanians Only rivaled by Albertan Honey Pot Breast Meat
  5. He wears the fictional belt of “best fighter” in the league. So yeah, he’d be a great Geertsen replacement.
  6. Is it stealing a win if you are the better team? I’d argue the opposite.
  7. I’m no Adams defender but goaltending is witchcraft. Some kids burst into the league at 20 years old and become all starts. Some guys take until they are 25-28 years old to become a steady NHL goaltender. Adam’s (maybe at Pegula’s behest) thrust Levi immediately into NHL duty. What looked like a promising start to his career (7 games at the end of the 22-23 season) turned into a small sample size projection. They handed him the keys the following season based on those 7 games and it went south quickly. They tried it again last season and it went worse. Should we blame poor supporting cast? Probably. They’ve addressed it somewhat. I don’t think his development has been bad, it’s just not on the schedule everyone here wanted. The problem has been having UPL in the fold. He’s not good.
  8. I was pretty vocal about my doubts concerning Josh Dunne. The questions about his foot speed remain but he certainly seems like a big vibes guy.
  9. He falls into the vaunted category of no offense no defense defenseman.
  10. This is the first time I’m hearing about this
  11. Well his value may be on the decline but I still think someone would give you at least what we got for Peterka, which at first glance seems like a couple of 3rd liners but I think both players end up in the top end of the roster. It’s time to move on. Power needs a fresh start. Sabres could use another couple of gritty young players like Doan and Kesselring. This isn’t hard to do but Adams makes it seem impossible. He’s so worried about optics. Just make the deal Kevyn.
  12. The problem is there have been 2 dozen top shelf WRs available to draft the last 3 years. We have Keon “contested catch (I can’t get open)” Coleman.
  13. The point of trading Power is you are getting a top tier player in return. You don’t trade him for “a couple third liners”. I want someone’s best player under 25.
  14. It starts at the top. The GM, coaches, captain, alternates. They need to get these guys ready. They barely ever are.
  15. It’s unfortunate that a solid stay at home defenseman looks so foreign to us. We’ve been saddled with all offense no defense dman or the dreaded no offense no defense dman.
  16. Kozak injures the bozak. Glad he’s getting NHL pay for his ball sack injury. /probably
  17. Why not have it on a Saturday or Sunday? I suppose this time of year, competing with College Football & the NFL, the weekends would be tough. College Football has a pretty sizable hiatus between their regular season and playoff. Why not just wait until then? I'm sure hockey die hards will enjoy the experience regardless, I just think if you have a non-college football Saturday, you could have games starting at 11 am - 11pm, giving fans a chance to watch 4-5 complete games. Not a hodge podge of catching a period or two of about 3 games.
  18. I see my work here is unfinished. I bolded ATM for a reason. Maybe it's too early for those types of references.
  19. I'm not confident Worthy will have a long career given he's still high school sized. But in a world where giving 2nd contracts to skill position players is only going to be reserved for top tier talent, it appears to be a major miss. Josh covers a lot of Beane's warts, just like Brady did with Belichick. He hits on later round picks like Deone Walker & Christian Benford but misses on early picks like Elam, Coleman and possibly Sanders. A team with a lot of money tied up in QB, OL & defense; they need to hit on the early picks as they are going to be relied on to come in and start immediately.
  20. What are Power and Timmons doing well with? 😀 Let's go Buffalo!
  21. I should also not stare at my coworkers monstrous jumblies but here we are.
  22. This is the opposite of under promise and over deliver. This is more like make promises we aren't sure we can keep with no expectation of delivery. Just let us know when he's ready.
  23. Dunne is just not an NHL player. My foot speed is comparable and I can’t skate. We need Greenway back ASAP. I know Lindy likes the heavies but at what cost? Geertsen is close to playing his way out of the league (again) and Dunne isn’t far behind.
  24. The issue is Adams absolutely will get this wrong.
  25. And the centerpiece of the trade hasn’t suited up yet for the Sabres.
