What’s he going to say? The team has checked out. He’s next. Going through the motions. Time to find another franchise that actually competes in the league.

I cannot get to relying on a solitary draft pick to be yet another savior. We tried it with Jack, even with providing tons of support for him. It doesn’t work. Let whatever draft picks we get come up through the ranks but some 18 yo kid ain’t it. They need actual real hockey players. They need to move on from Power, Quinn, Samuelsson and probably a few other names that fans will get real butt hurt about. Whatever they are doing ain’t it. Blow it up. Ice a gritty hardworking lineup that Buffalo will relate to and move on from the Tommy Dangles of the world. It’s over.

Good for a couple of those plays a game

Bad teams don’t get calls. Unless they are playing Buffalo. Then they get all the calls.

No chance. They could lose 20 and not a coach or off ice person will face the music. This team is meeting whatever metric TP has set forth.

@thewookie1 What’s the purpose of playing the anthem at sporting events? To remind 75% of the roster they may be from another country but you better stay in line while you’re here?

I avoid all of it. It’s sounds so ridiculous when the product is so terrible. Can we also please do away with anthems at sporting events? What’s the purpose?

Quite frankly, if this is the sentiment during game 2 of 82, the team is lost. Lindy makes no appreciable difference. The top players on the team aren’t making a difference. The new players are hurt or inconsequential. Our biggest issue is not knowing how or when it’s going to end. No one is being held accountable. Lindy doesn’t like the effort, take the biggest offended from that game and make an example of them. Send them down, trade them or put them on waivers. These guys are too comfy being complacent. No incentive to try hard. So find players that will. I was wondering if Lindy’s dinosaur brain could decipher what is unfolding in front of him. Based on what I’ve seen, he either doesn’t know or doesn’t care.

I’ve written Norris off for the season and most likely his career with the Sabres. I drank cups full of hopium dreaming of a world where the Sabres finally got something right. Moving on from Cozens, who still looks like a net negative, was the right thing to do. It was a gamble bringing in Norris, and the Sabres crapped out predictably.

I realize kids have off and the league will get some perceived benefit of getting them in the barn but when your sport struggles to maintain its relevance as the 4th(?) most popular in the country seems a bit misguided.

I might have to give it a listen. I know shadenfreude is taking pleasure in the demise of others, what’s it called when you are taking pleasure in your own demise? Masochism I suppose. The need to put this sick dog down. Put us out of our misery. I have no idea what that entails but it’s needs to stop. Fire everyone, trade everyone. Sell the team so they can relocate. Just get this garbage out of my life.

This is laughable. Nobody cares about the NHL, let alone the worst franchise in that sport. The Sabres are going to toil away in nothingness for eternity or at least until they leave Buffalo.

This is the 5th coach under this regime. They’ve been the same under all of them. What’s been consistent? The owner, the GM and the players. All of which are culpable in this circumstance.

I did just like millions of other people in this country. Why does the NHL schedule day games on days that the majority of people are working? I don’t care too much as I’m not watching this team this season but it feels kinda dumb to schedule your sporting events when a significant portion of the population is still working. Then again this is the short sighted league when they will take any cash grab (in person attendance) over actual long term promotion of the league.
