I’m sure he’s great. Drafting 3 Dmen first overall in under a decade, is probably not a recipe for success in the NHL.

Without knowing much at all I’d peg him around $5-6 mill per.

I’m not sure how earnestly I want to take this to task but I think by and large the players that have left here haven’t gone on to unforeseen heights. Everyone knew Eichel, Reinhart, Montour, O’Reilly, were good players. They were just put into better situations, surrounded by better players that improved their counting stats. It’s not like the Sabres didn’t know what they had with those guys. Ullmark you could make a case for, unless we want to go into average players like Zadorov, Borgen, Rodrigues.

Forwards being bad at defense also an issue.

I’m trying to wrap my head around this and I’m having a hard time. Up until a few games ago, the Sabres weren’t really fighting anyone or getting majors called against them. So do they lead the league in stupid lazy stick penalties like hooking, tripping, etc. is the reason they suck so much is that they are constantly killing penalties? Just trying to cobble together something that makes sense.

If even one of the 3 played well enough to make this list, the Sabres would be pushing for the playoffs. If 2 or 3 are on it, the Sabres are challenging for the division. Depressing.
