Is "accountability" even possible in the Sabres organization?
inkman replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
The purpose of the franchise is to win the Stanley Cup. They think drafting and developing is how to do it. I know and you know it’s not working. They are just going to rehash the same platitudes and everyone will leave the “presser” with their thumbs up their ass as Terry isn’t going to lay out some new fangled idea. They have a plan. It’s not working. They are sticking to said plan. 🤷♂️ -
He does. He leads the team in goals and is tied for 6th in the league in goals. He’s also a 6’5” 26 year old man playing against 20 year olds. Hey, I’m for trying anything. Not sure this is gonna do it.

I don’t care if you burn the arena to the ground. I just don’t think listening to an old man yammer on about nothing is going to make anyone feel better. As a matter of fact, it almost exclusively incites more fan anger and distrust. What you want is not going to happen. He’s not going to come out and tell everyone his grandiose plan to make it all better. He’s done that. It isn’t working. What we need is action. Not words. -

There is no obligation to the fans. If you don’t like it, don’t support it. There is nothing he’ll say to make anyone feel any better. It’s all just platitudes that mean nothing and accomplish nothing. If it makes you feel better to hear an old man stammer on about nothing, have at it. I have no use for owners of sports teams. It’s funny how Terry doesn’t say ***** about ***** with the Bills and no one cares. But because the Sabres suck we need to hear Terry say a bunch of nothingness into a microphone. Ok. -

Why is it an obligation? Because of butt hurt fans? The less I hear and see the man, the better. -
I thought the ship had sailed on near 27 year old Murray but if people want a big body, he’s got that. Foot speed…not so much.

Wahlberg had a great world thingy. I’d like to see him.

The Sabres literally can’t respond with the force they need because they don’t have it. None of these guys are willing or have the size to impose their will. It affects all facets of the game. They are intimidated. The GM hung a bunch of skilled kids out to dry with no one on the team that does the dirty work. It’s the GM and it’s the players. Just a dubious team with no fix in sight. Get rid of all of them. Seriously.

Like covering them in cheese, sugar and bacon? 🤣
-
I’m not sure I’ve ever heard of anyone that doesn’t like cheese. Interesting.
-
Exactly. It’s like people dipping their pizza in blue cheese or ranch. If your pizza needs that much help, maybe you get the wrong pizza.

Ate that ***** almost every meal growing up. Loved it. Still don’t mind it. But I can understand peoples uncomfortableness eating cheese curds in that fashion.

Yeah big brussel tried pushing them on everyone a decade or so ago. I absolutely loathed them growing up but I was curious as to why they were gaining popularity. I listen to how they are getting prepped. Cover with cheese, garlic, bacon, brown sugar, butter and whatever other nonsense. I’m sure those brussel sprouts are delicious. As would a shoe covered in all that stuff.

It’s not working. The Pats winning this game will be coup de gráce.

I had split pea soup (yes the Campbells condensed variety) once a week growing up up. Loved it. Haven’t had it in years tho. It’s funny how life comes full circle, Campbell’s is now the largest customer we have at work.

The texture is mush. I can’t get past it.
