I’m not sure I’ve ever felt this disengaged from the team. There are no easy fixes. Firing everyone and starting anew isn’t going to get traction for years. Trading some of their core (they should) like Power and Cozens, unless perfectly executed won’t result in a net positive. I have no hope. No happiness or excitement associated with the team.

I think most knowledgeable fans understand the odds of mid to lower 1st round picks succeeding in the NHL and what their time lines look like. The person who you want to take exception with is @JoeSchmoe.

The only way to fix the bunch is to remove the bad apples. I can live with Dahlin (still not sure he’s part of the solution) but Tage, Cozens, Power, Quinn, Joki, Samuelsson. Purge the roster of these cowards.

It’s tough to watch. It makes letting go of them so much easier. These are not MY Buffalo Sabres. Just some moron’s version of them. I usually don’t watch much anymore. I’ll have it on in the background unless it’s some absurd afternoon game. Even with it in the background, I don’t even look up when someone scores. Either team. This organization is doomed.
