  1. Onto what? Nothing has happened.
  2. Internet rumor mongering suggests these two no longer have “A”s. I, for one, don’t believe it. Discuss. 15. The Sabres have won four in a row, but we will see if there is any long-term fallout from Sunday, when Stefan Noesen’s hit on Tage Thompson went unaddressed. One player on another team said he heard from a friend on Buffalo that there was talk of the leadership group and/or alternate captaincies being switched over what didn’t happen. What a gamer, Dennis Gilbert. Fought Mathieu Olivier three seconds into Tuesday's game to make everyone look better. Not easy.
  3. Many people share this sentiment. I just don’t see TP moving on from his lap dog.
  4. Please stop just making things up. I want this season to end so badly. Just put us down like ol’ yeller. I’m tired of the nonsense.
  5. Oft injured player, get injured again. “Defiantly a trade in the works, what other explanation can there be.” It’s like a sickness with the affected lot of people who think this way
  6. Hence why they need to change the group. Any competent hockey GM would have unloaded 75% of the roster by now.
  7. Hey boat anchor! Be still my beating heart.
  8. He played with Dahlin. End of story. He’s not good on his own. Pair him with one of the best players in the world and he suddenly looks mildly competent.
  9. Casey isn’t a part of the solution. They need more engaged, intense players. I know Zucker has rubbed some the wrong way with the Tage hit but Jason is more of what we need than what we don’t need. We need more professional men on the team as opposed to the kiddie lineup we keep icing year after year.
  10. We drafted two players 1st overall and and two players 2nd overall and are no better because of it. Honestly, those 4 players should be the cornerstones of the franchise. Instead we currently have a very good defenseman, a kid struggling to acclimate to defensive zone play in the NHL, a minor league goalie, a nice looking prospect but he’s only 21 and just starting to blossom, a 2nd line winger, and a 4th line center. Not exactly what you’d build a franchise around.
  11. Literary references? I can’t make it past one sentence on a message board. Know your audience man. 😀 Mmmm hmmm
  12. I’ll keep beating the drum until I can’t anymore. The Sabres are the Washington Generals. The patsy here for everyone to chide and rag doll as their real team makes them look foolish. We are the league’s doormat. Wipe the ***** off your skates all over us, we practically enjoy it. Laugh at us, beat us up, score the dumbest goals you’ve ever seen. It’s all here.
  13. McKinnon’s disposition has me slightly aroused. My lord what I would give for someone like that on the Sabres.
  14. In case anyone needs a push over the end it all today line…
  15. Quite frankly, I think McCabe is twice the player Samuelsson is. Jake wasn’t perfect but he was more than serviceable in a 4/5 dman role. His problem here is that he was often asked to be 1/2 dman. Not ideal. Samuelsson might and I mean might be a 5/6 but he’s probably best suited as 7/8 dman.
  16. I had to find my reaction in that thread. Cautiously optimistic but certainly not overwhelmingly excited about it. I guess more of us should have realized how much Rasmus was impacting his game. It’s blatantly obvious at this point. Is this what you want, what you think will happen or do you have evidence indicating it is fact?
  17. Anchors are a good thing. I think the issue started when everyone dropped “boat” from the phrase making autistic people like me go nuts. (I don’t think I’m really autistic but stuff like this is like a road block in my brain that I can’t move past)
  18. For guys who love each other, they certainly have a funny way of showing it on the ice
  19. Argh Friedman and Marino are the bane of my existence. Constantly purporting opinion as fact. My apologies.
  20. Boom https://thehockeywriters.com/sabres-need-to-extend-bowen-byram-before-july-1st/#:~:text=Byram Wants to Be a Number One Defenseman&text=Byram would eventually like to,the team's number two defenseman. There happens to be one issue with the Sabres signing him to a long-term contract. Byram would eventually like to become a team’s number one defenseman. With the Sabres already having Dahlin and Owen Power on the blue line, that is tough. With Dahlin being the team’s number one defenseman, right now Byram is the team’s number two defenseman. Who knows, maybe if Byram signs a long-term contract in Buffalo, Power will surpass Byram and become the team’s number two defenseman and Byram gets stuck as the number three defenseman.
  21. Do you think that’s something this team would actually do?
  22. I said I’d celebrate the end of the drouht. Immediately followed by the realization this team still needs a lot of work.
  23. I can’t get there. Glad they won but the amount of F’s I give about this team is almost depleted.
  24. I missed the stupid staged fight from Gilbert as my wife decided to unplug our WiFi right before the game started. Probably for the best. I would have skewered this org more than I already do which is saying something.
