  1. What’s the point on bringing him back for 10 meaningless games.
  2. This place really becomes unlikeable in the doldrums of another lost season.
  3. Are we supposed to name the source of the info in the thread title or do you work for WGR?
  4. I’ve never had a what could have been moment. It sounds miserable.
  5. Just ask the mods (you aren’t one are you?) to count who has most “ignored”.
  6. Yes like Brady Tkachuk. Probably need to throw in Kulich plus.
  7. Waddle, Tyreek, Achane and Mostert would like a word.
  8. Aren’t they just hoping the pick you give them turns into what they are giving away? Hence, why would anyone make that deal.
  9. Joki does seem like the odd man out but I’m wondering about Power. With Byrum that is an awfully too heavy D with almost all offensive types. I could see them flipping Power for a young power forward no pun intended.
  10. He was concussed for sure. It’s affecting him. But he also was slumping before the injury. After he got back from World Juniors, he went scoreless in quite a few games before the concussion.
  11. I’ll bet they are within $3 mill of the cap next season Well, they need a dance partner. It would take a team either over the cap or ready to move on from the player.
  12. I think Savoie and Östlund will be Sabres soon. Probably good ones. I also think Neuchev and Novikov may be over taking Kulich and Rosen on the depth chart. (I realize Novikov is a D but he’s emerged as a top level D prospect) Neuchev’s speed and lateral quickness are something the Sabres don’t have. He’s Afinogenov lite. Not quite as fast or quick but he’s way faster than anyone they currently ice. We know pace of play is a problem with Buffalo. Victor’s path to Buffalo may be short as he has what they need.
  13. Also worth noting, no one is exactly breaking down the door pushing themselves into the lineup. Kulich and Rosen have been MIA the last half of the season, Neuchev and Novikov are in the next group and may be closer to Buffalo than the aforementioned.
  14. Why would anyone want to give away a young impact player?
  15. Who’s the biggest jerk rated in the top 15? That’s who the Sabres should target. Tired of all the niiiiiice players. I want *****. 😎
  16. Power & Dahlin’s contract extensions kick in next season. That’s a $12.5 mill increase from this season. UPL is due for a raise as well, anywhere from $3-6 mill depending on term. So they will have an increase of 15-20 mill based on those 3. I’m guessing Adams decided the team couldn’t afford Mitts with the impending raises. Maybe he also decided Casey wasn’t the type of player he wanted moving forward. I don’t know if I agree, just trying to dive into the mind of GMKA. Good teams keep the guys they want. They find a way. This team isn’t good and I’m not sure they know who they want. There might also be some buyers remorse with Dahlin, Power, Tage and Cozens. Maybe that is making Kevyn gun-shy. I’ve lost faith in this regime. I don’t think a new coach will fix all of their problems. They need a heart transplant. Can they do they if they move Power and buy out Skinner? Tage and Dylan make me nervous. I think Cozens has the desire, I’m just not sure he has the ability to make the difference. Tage on the other hand. I’m worried they hitched their cart to a broken horse.
  17. Yet we see other teams get away with crap like that against our team of figure skaters every game.
  18. Eh $4 mill is more like average NHL salary.
  19. Not exactly starter money. Curtis Samuel at $8 mill isn’t exactly #2 money either. I think the Bills will draft for both spots.
  20. They’ll be closer to the cap next season. Dahlin, Power and UPL all getting significant raises. I know a few contracts come off the books, most notably Olofsson, they’ll more than use up what he voids with those 3. Probably to the tune of 15-20mill.
  21. I’m not sold on him being the starter. Probably but not certainly.
  22. Amerks prospects lighting it up
  23. I worked at a company a few years ago. They always tried to consolidate management and have one set of managers run both the sauce operation and the booze operation. It never worked. One person can’t be that involved. You either focus 90% of your efforts toward the money operation (Bills/sauce) and leave the other 10% to neglect the lesser profitable business or you try to split your time evenly and end up managing nothing because you can’t do it with 50% involvement. It doesn’t work.
