If you were GMKA, what is the most you would pay Reinhart to extend?

Most people feel the cap will remain flat for two or three years. He isn’t touching $7M -
Well that’s obvious as well. Maybe just as obvious that you need your best players to to be a little better at the finer points in the game. This is a league were the margin of error is razor thin and details are important.

Analytics continues to pound this drum but we all know that winning draws is better then losing them and losing it as cleanly as Sam did on that draw to start the 6 on 3 is inexcusable.
-
The Sabres love JJ but he will stay overseas another year. Portillo will undoubtedly spend two more years in College.
-
That’s probably a pipe dream but a guy like Hyman might be doable.
-
I’m definitely on board with the theory, if not the exact players. While I think the need for “tough” guys is overrated, I think you need some “jam” in your line up.
-
Yeah but he has to be injured or at least injured enough to pass truth test. You can’t do LTIR because he “might” get hurt
-
Cap wise it would actually hurt unless his replacement costs less then $1M

Before anyone asks, buying out KO doesn’t help at all next year.

I agree with everything in the first paragraph. I don’t consider my qualified to pass judgement on the quality. If you look at my “demographics” thread, clearly 2015 has the most players active right now, for whatever that’s worth
-
Right now, the 2015 draft with 74 players has the most players on active rosters. The 2019 should come close. What’s interesting to me, that while we always debate which drafts yield the best prospects, most end up with about the same number of players making active rosters.

My favorite “bad” coach is always Pronovost. A great, very misleading, regular season record.

I have watched that clip ten times and while I know what Irwin was trying to do, I don't know why he did it. OK, i guess i didn't see that Rieder was on the right side, but still...

Ralph is a nice guy who wanted to coach like Marv Levy. Light practice schedule, minimal discipline, more of a CEO. Problem, he didn't have the staff to support that nor the type of veteran leadership and not enough alpha dogs on his roster. On top of that, coaching wasn't his passion just something he did with a lot of other interests. I admit, I was wrong as to how that would manifest itself in relation to this team although I think the goalie situation and 2C doomed his as well.

This. He loves the city and the Pegulas. They may mutually decide to part ways if next year doesn't go well but......

I wouldn’t read too much into Quinn at center. It was more out of necessity then anything. -

Oh, 1974 OJ GIL McAdoo arguably the MVP in each league. Those were the days. -
Don’t rule out Pilut.
-
If we lose both, they will surely bring in one veteran.

All reports say he is more then ready
