  1. Did they re-open the Grant street location? It was still closed two months ago.
  2. I thought he said it depends on the situation. Obviously he wouldn’t stay if some inexperienced guy is hired but there are only so many of these jobs.....
  3. I’m skeptical if Mister Pizza ever opens there. Since Tony died there seems to be a leadership void. They still haven’t reopened Grant Street and the whole Leonardi’s mess with the sub lease fiasco and now with Imperial buying the plaza across the street, I’ll believe it when I see it.
  4. One Pie Pizza is excellent for those that like sweet sauce. It’s kinda unique in that it’s only open Monday through Friday and only serves nine pizzas, sold in half sheets and nothing else. No subs, wings, salads, tacos, nothing.
  5. Again, I respect this opinion, just am not on board with the traditional beliefs with regard to player development.
  6. I completely agree with that last three sentences but believe you get the same results if your top five or ten prospects are practice squad players. I think minor league development is a myth and it’s more about letting players mature and develop at their own pace. I don’t believe any players washout because they are rushed or put in bad situations. The only possible caveat I would make is for goaltenders. Of course it’s an endless debate because there is no way to prove it without changing the rules and blowing up minor league hockey.
  7. Can’t let these kind of posts without commenting. While others disagree, I still feel playing in the AHL does nothing for development. Guys get to the level they are prepared to pay the price for. Casey needed years, not the AHL, to decide what he was willing to work for.
  8. My first thought.
  9. That might be an insult to “scumbag morons.” It’s no surprise he doesn’t like Kim, he only likes woman he can beat up.
  10. I would vote for LGRM. I like several posters on the board and have tremendous respect for guys like Taro, Dudacek, Eleven, et al, enjoy the humor of Ink and unintended humor of Wookie, but for information and to learn a little about the analytical process it’s LGRM. And, I apologize in advance for those I omitted.
  11. I don’t know, I listened to it again and I don’t see it as vaccine skepticism as much as the right to choose. I do think it’s surprising that he admits to not being very informed on the subject.
  12. This is how false internet rumors start. He never said he wouldn’t get vaccinated. He said he wanted to see the numbers first. He will get vaccinated. Hopefully they make a big deal about it so some of the mindless souls who care what athletes do will get one too.
  13. I don’t think they can play Pittsburgh in the finals!
  14. Fans laughed at Sakic. Old school hockey guys laughed at Sakic. Smart hockey people didn’t.
  15. So he needed a year and a half working as some assistant in charge of something to be respected as a GM? Shanahan, Yzernan, Salic all had less then two years working as assistants to assistants so they were more qualified? Everyone was laughing at Sakic the first two years until they realized what he was doing. Adams has the respect, the pedigree, the education to do the job. Who knows if he succeeds. History has shown there really is no blue print on who is the best person for the job.
  16. Experience does not define respect. Adams has spent his life building relationships and earning respect. As a player, Adams had the same level of respect from his teammates as Drury. I love Chris Drury. I will correct anyone who thinks he didn’t want to stay here. Kevyn Adams is the same kind of guy and it’s unfortunate that the Sabres past missteps in hiring has people making snap judgments about his abilities.
  17. Because Adams is respected?
  18. He was not two faced. He accepted an offer and Golisano changed his mind. They should of had both Drury and Briere and ownership blew it.
  19. How does Danault get only $600K less then Sam? I’m calling bunk to these numbers unless Seattle drafts all AHL’ers and then signs 12 free agents to $6M deals.
  20. If Danault gets anywhere near those numbers......
  21. Those numbers seem way high. Even with the née TV deal the cap is expected to remain flat. I’d be surprised to see any contender pay those numbers.
  22. Given the injury and the flat cap, I’d expect he will be back on a one year deal. There’s an opportunity to get him signed to a relatively cheap long term deal but I’m not sure he’d go for it.
