I just find it a little curious that an article comes out on Thursday, June 11th, titled “Pegula focused on efficiency; staying on as Sabres President,” then a full bloodletting occurs a few days later. Not nefarious, but certainly not coincidence, either.

I think that's what they throw out there when they actually do have reasons but don't want to throw him under the bus, knowing he has to get another job some day. If they had been winning the whole time, they wouldn't have to. I like him more now.

I get all that, but people are saying that the Pegulas are following some model that is working over at 1BD. Yes, they hired a coach and GM. It's not magic. Let's hope it works out. This is like saying that all we have to do to have a better record is win more games.

Is hiring a good GM and coach really a mystery that the Pegulas had to figure out?! Nothing that happens in the offseason will ever get more than a meh from me. ... and we still don’t know for sure if the Bills actually are a top team in the league.

So, the Bills have made it to two playoff games in twenty years, lost both, and theirs is the model the Sabres are aspiring to?! Jebus we really need to aim higher.
