I wanted to get back to this because you made me go off on a tangent about refs in general as opposed to what we’ve seen in the NHL this year. They have made a point of paying attention to cross checking this year. I watch a lot of nonSabres games, as well. This year, you hear the refs shouting a lot at players, both in front of the net and in the corners, trying to keep the play alive as well as giving warnings about cross checking. The ref could have given Power a penalty on the first one. They aren’t doing that this year. As soon as he did it a second time, as lame as it was, I knew he was getting a penalty and had no problem with it.

I just have problem with the notion that, “they played a great game but just didn’t have puck luck, and that was the difference.” I see it a little differently. I think they played a good game, but were at the very edge of their abilities and weren’t able to keep up with their opponent in order to control the puck that last little bit needed to get that “puck luck.”

It’s why StL will go deeper into the playoffs than TO.

Wait! Is the game still going? Did he just score? Or are you so far ahead, as per usual, that he scored in the next game, and it just hasn't started for us all yet?

I miss when players used to lay a body on someone. Unless you are scoring on those chances in these new NHL open games, for the most part, they are boring.

Tuch needs to pay attention that last 10%. He's really really good, like, 90% of the time. The other 10%, wtf.

Sure. He's the most suspended player ever and has been fined $1.4 MM. Arguing with a ref about the integrity of refs is a fools game. Go Sabres!

When have refs ever been professional? They make subjective calls all game, every game based on their personal feelings about the guy they are making the call on. The unbiased official only exists in nfreemen's mind.

So far, the difference in the game is a BS 5 on 3. I'll take it.

They don't care if they get the call right as long as they convince themselves that they didn't get it wrong.

That's a learning penalty for Power. The ref shouted to watch the crosschecking, and then he did it. Yes they missed A LOT on StL, but he had to call that penalty.

😂 I don't know why I keep thinking this game is in St. Louis. Probably because I watched the St Louis pregame show.

Lot's of Sabres fans in the crowd. Also, lots of empty seats for a team headed to the playoffs.

Skinner doesn't get that call anymore. That's why it's BS.
