  1. He really did. Now I must admit, Ive only watching highlights online and read a lot about these players but if Button is 80 percent right I think we will all be thrilled with this pick down the line.
  2. So based on the overwhelming negativity here about this pick does anyone take joy in Craig Button comparing Jack Quinn to David Pastrnak?
  3. I'm all aboard the Seth Jarvis train: Who's with me?
  4. Let me ask you all though: Let's say Pegula sets a budget and things will be rough for a couple of years. If so, this team probably can't truly compete next 2-3 years and Eichel and Dahlin will be wasted. What IF the Sabres blew it up completely, and say, got the top pick this year for the Rangers for Lafrienere involving Eichel? And Dahlin would get back a TON. Imagine how Adams can reshape their roster top to bottom and the system and truly put this franchise where it needs to be while the budget issues go away after 2 years or so. I cringe as I type this, but at this point, why not?
  5. Rangers get a 5 spot jump to get Kaapo Kakko: Check. Rangers 'win' lottery with mysterious ping pong ball the next season in odd format: Check. League orchestrates a almost 6M cap relief for the Rangers that makes absolutely ZERO sense for the Red Wings or any other team? Checkmate.
  6. Do they pay in Pegula Bucks or actual legal tender?
  7. Just wanted to say goodbye everyone it was fun here while sports was fun, but the time has come to say goodbye and focus my money, energy and priorities on more important things. Sports was supposed to be an escape for all of us, and now they have clearly shown this is not the case. Before you jump the gun i am not a right wing extremist by any stretch of the imagination, Im a middle of the road thinker who believes in caring, love, peace and balance. Sports in general has clearly shown that they are not in the same lane. Therefore, I will find other things to take up my time. I wish you all well and hope the Sabres give you one day what you all deserve a team to be proud of.
  8. Interesting, Ill have to take an even closer look at Lundell, I did think he skating was pretty good but I need to compare him more to others around where we pick. Jarvis is intriguing I agree. Another possible angle here is: At 8, and no Askarov picked at that time, and Minnesota sitting at 9 and maybe even a Nashville who might bite in a goalie like Askarov, could a team like Edmonton yearn to jump to 8 to take a player like Askarov and the Sabres move down to 14, still have a good position in the 1st round, where we can get a player like Jarvis and pickup more draft capital and/or even a player that we can use for the now?
  9. I'm warming up to the idea of taking Anton Lundell at #8. I know he isnt the 'sexy' pick everyone is looking for, but he just might be the one we truly need to make. Top 6 forward that has the skating, size, and defensive mindset that is lacking on this roster.
  10. Royal Blue is great, good job. At least we will look good when grooming players to be jettisoned to better organizations and markets
  11. Maybe Terrance has nap time during the day, get it in and over with before such time
  12. Be happy, my predictions are usually a complete disaster!
  13. Stanley Cup Finals Prediction: Vegas vs Philadelphia Winner: Vegas
  14. Well let's see if the Jays even make it to Buffalo considering what is happening today
  15. Not sure if this is true for other providers but T-Mobile has a T-Mobile Tuesday promotion to get mlb.tv for the year for free with a mlb account
  16. Cozens IMO has a great shot and is a great skater I think he can be a complete and lethal #2 center on the Sabres and with Eichel being the #1, it should help Cozens get better match-ups and produce more. I wouldn't deal him unless Im getting a real difference maker for the top line under a reasonably manageable contract.
  17. Was traded to Washington in the Joe Juneau deal in 1998-99 and played for Rochester. He was only 42.
  18. I think the PK was bad for a multitude of reasons. One that I can think of is the inconsistency behind the net (especially with Hutton who had some putrid results at times while other teams were on the PP). If we just start there and address that issue and get more consistent goaltending throughout the season, I feel the PK ranking by that alone will go from 30th to 20th by default.
  19. Eric Staal if he was available would be a nice get for the Sabres (if he is available) and would not cost high assets to obtain his services. Short term contract, manageable cap number, and a guy who 'won' a Stanley Cup (we know we were the better team deep down that year but still) and can provide leadership (former captain) And he is still productive enough to make an impact more as a 3C but even as a 2C into Dylan is ready to take that role.
