Aldi did it! Their french onion dip is exactly the same as Bison. .99 cents vs. 3.49 ish.

Good stuff, Smell. I'm not sure how they lined up New York and Florida "at the same point in time" in their outbreaks. Deaths lag cases by several weeks if not more, so I think it's too soon to say Florida is going to fare better than NY in terms of deaths. New daily cases started rising on about June 9 in the U.S. (as a seven day average). New daily deaths have been declining for a good while, but the last few seven-day averages indicate a possible flattening of the improvement.

Sweden's curve looks a lot like ours. It is 16th in the world in cases per million people. The U.S. is 10th. The other two Scandinavian countries, Denmark and Norway, have done a lot better.

"These people." -
Jon Stewart had the quote of the pandemic appearing on Trevor Noah's show. Anyone who is philosophically opposed to masks should tell his or her surgeon to take off the mask — and "unwash your hands." Of course he said it funnier than that.

Old folks? As the saying goes, that's only the half of it.

The health secretary of PA disagrees. The sensational conclusion some have reached should instead be debated as something like, "What role, if any, did returning residents to nursing homes play in nursing home deaths?" Do we know? Anyway, this is not the thread for it. I wish it was, but what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

What should the Sabres do with the 8th pick?

It would be fascinating to know how the responses break down by age. Some of us are getting nervous about never seeing a Cup in our lives. The future is now! (Unless you're 25.) -
I wonder why these posts with Republican talking points about Democratic governors haven't been moved. This thread is about the virus not the government's response to the virus.

Kaleida hospital here tests anyone in ER and anyone being admitted. I'm guessing that's a Kaleida wide policy.

I'm not sure anyone knows how far they took it. Darce was always very tight lipped and proprietary about it. -
The vision: Paraphrasing — It's about people. Want to be progressive and efficient, want to think differently about scouting and player development and analytics. It's about communication and surrounding yourself with great people. (Mentioned efficiency again.) It comes back to people. Important to surround myself with great and honest people who push and challenge me. Hard conversations for the right reason to get to the right answer.

Damn. My left blinker's been on since the 80s.

Obesity as a risk factor for severe outcomes.

I didn't make the Yoko joke. I defended Bob Sauve's honor when it was assumed he was making a racist joke and not a Beatles joke. You're use of the word understandable is wrong. I'm not saying it's understandable Murray used that slur; that would suggest sympathy for him. I was trying to understand why he used it. Just my opinion of course, but I believe he used it because Kim was meddling in his hockey domain and not sticking to the business side as we all understood to be the lay of the land in the organization. I think this is one problem people have with liberal/progressive thinking and tactics. If you want to discuss why the c-word got used, be prepared to get called a misogynist. -
Does herd immunity rely on the idea that if you had it, you can't get it again? If protection is short-lived as has been speculated, you might even have people who were sick in March getting infected again now. The length of protection is still a great unknown. But a lot is being learned about who's vulnerable. The CDC put out a statement yesterday I think that downplayed age and basically said anyone of any age with certain underlying conditions is vulnerable. Hypertension alone doesn't look as risky now; for a while now they've been saying it's only moderate to severe asthma that is a concern, not simply "asthma."

I didn't say I liked the word. Just that it never made any sense that Tim would resort to using it. If you're bothered by the paint remark, go talk to Terry. He's the one who assigned Kim to redecorate the place, back when the Sabres owner was Terry Pegula. You've had a bad week on here. -

What do you take from the article? Do you draw any conclusions about how the process of hiring coaches works? -
I got you beat. I once pulled up to the wrong side (granted, not my vehicle), then swung around to the other side, of course still on the wrong side before pulling away too embarrassed to face the attendant who had watched the whole sad affair play out.

The board? You're one of the last holdouts. Don't act like you have much support in opposing the idea that they meddle.
