  1. If you buy the playoff pkg you should get the final 2 reg season games included. I watched the marlies game wed night.
  2. My son-in-law went with MSG+ for this year and he hadn't complained about the quality so I asked him and he pretty much said the same thing other's have said here but maybe not to the level that others have experienced. Also, he's got Greenlight, not Spectrum internet so possibly that helps some? I'm in the same boat as Radar, $161/month includes Spectrum Internet 500mbps down, 25mbps up. I also have free access to ESPN+ as my kids have a Disney subscription that includes it so I have all the Sabre games covered. Yes, I do have to contact Spectrum every year to "beg" for another "deal" for the following year but so far I've been successful.
  3. I did think the 1st box was free but I dropped the boxes and went with streaming on our 2 tv's with Roku so possibly they changed their fee structure. As for streaming quality - for me it's hit/miss. Over the past few months I've had technicians out to the house numerous times. I've been getting pixelation primarily on commercials - the worst being the Spectrum ads go figure. I also have times where the video and audio get out of sync for a couple seconds. Recently it's gotten better but I've done so much to my system I can't say what the issue is/was. I got rid of the Spectrum wireless router (this saves me $5.00/mo) and put in a mesh system in the house, I've totally refreshed my tv back to factory defaults and then reprogrammed it, I've had technicians run all new wiring through the house up to my modem and router, they supposedly had the line crews out and they tested the tap at the pole. And now just recently I was notified Spectrum is supposed to be "upgrading" their network to improve speed and stability and that perhaps my issues have been due to this upgrade. Who knows. I was in the same boat. My bill was just under $160 for cable and internet (500mbps) and was due to go up in September. I called cust service and asked for their Retention Dept and was able to extend my current plan out another year with a $2.00 increase/mo. so I was happy with that. And yes, ESPN and others are currently blacked out on Spectrum so no Cornhole Championships!!
  4. I think the 1st Spectrum box is free if you go that route unless you want the dvr package. You can also get a Roku for $35-40 and the Spectrum App streams on that.
  5. Mostly lurker here ... I don't know the rules that well but can an individual be both a rostered player AND assistant coach on a team? If agreeable to both sides, couldn't Okposo be a part-time player on the team as well as an assistant coach? Give him enough games to get to his 1000 game milestone (16? 18?) and let him play periodically or in the event of an injury. When not playing he can continue to mentor and be that veteran presence that's always talked about.
  6. Last fall I contacted Spectrum to complain about the high prices. My monthly bill had just increased to $230 including Internet and TV. I had 1 cable box and 1 cable/dvr box. Channels were just the "regular" channels + 1 tier up (not sure of what they called it) but no premium channels. Yes I did have MSG so at least that wasn't an issue. I live within the Buffalo market so my access to streaming apps for Sabres games is limited. When I called I eventually was connected to their "Customer Care" dept. (I think that's what it's called) and asked them what I could to to help reduce some of the costs. Eventually I was put into a package where I got rid of the cable and dvr boxes and went to streaming using a Roku (which I had). I was also given an upgrade to my Spectrum Internet speed to 500mbps down, 25mbps up as well as eDVR. All this for $142/mo which I thought was a decent price being that it included Internet. The price has since gone up to $151/mo but that's still an $80/mo savings. In fact I was so happy I canceled my Verizon account and switched over to Spectrum Mobile which saved me another $30/mo including 2 new Galaxy S22 phones. Is this a good deal? No idea but I'm saving over $100/mo from last fall so I'm not complaining. Just thought I'd share. YMMV
  7. I purchased the Playoff subscription for $30 from TheAHL so I could watch the Amerks but I gotta say Sunday's broadcast left a lot to be desired. What's with showing goal replays DURING LIVE GAME ACTION??!!?? You can't wait for a whistle to do that? Sound was all over the place at the beginning of the game, sound was muted at times when the period started or when coming back from a commercial and as it came on you could hear the announcers talking thereby missing whatever they said. At one point in the 2nd period during live play all of a sudden someone must've hit the wrong button in the control booth and they started playing highlights of previous games. So question to those who subscribe regularly - is this how the feed is produced and broadcast normally?
  8. I think today's date might factor into this ...
  9. Imagine what it'd lose if you didn't put the drain plug back in?
  10. Don't know if this a big whoop or not but ... https://www.google.com/search?gs_ssp=eJzj4tLP1TfIMM5JTzY1YPTiy0otLs5MTlQoSE0vzUkEAHqvCR8&q=jessica+pegula&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS838US838&oq=jessica&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j46i131i433l3j46i433l2j0i131i433j46i131i433l2.3238j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 My boss mentioned this - I told him most Sabres fans would rather the Sabres make it to the SC playoffs. But, good for her.
