  1. Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.
  2. Terry recruited football players for high schools. He was/is a power play at PSU football. He felt empowered enough to try and get a PSU assistant the head coaching job at Pitt. "I'm a football guy. People think I'm a hockey guy, but there just happened to be a hockey team for sale first." Almost direct quote. To give the devil his due, just maybe this is his wheelhouse. That, AND he made some good hires and maybe got a little lucky, and reportedly those hires built a firewall of sorts between the owner and them. Meanwhile, back at the waterfront, Terry's a low IQ hockey fan, lowest on this board I'd imagine if he posted here, his resume plateaued in 1990-something when he coached his kid in little guy hockey in Olean. He's in and out of teams, in and out of interest in the Sabres. He's made bad hires and maybe has been unlucky, but no one's THIS unlucky. What explains? Golly gee, I wonder what he's done wrong? And: there's never been a firewall (but hopefully Adams and Karmanos are BUILDING. THAT. WALL.)
  3. One correction to the article. The Sabres' TV market extends outside WNY. I'm in it down here in northern PA.
  4. So OSP and LQ and DD are coming back? Wouldn't be the worst thing. Spending freely has gotten Terry nowhere.
  5. You'll have to connect the dots. Why would gutting the team make it more attractive to new owners?
  6. Annnnnnd Jack never became a Sabre. (Tweet using the other f-word.)
  7. Of course the point of the Joel song wasn't that those who physically die young, are necessarily good, but that some young people give up on life or don't experience life. Paging Virginia...
  8. What's worse than breaking that rule is doing it and pretending no one saw it. Thumbs up!
  9. Banana mime. Violent check into the boards. Discuss.
  10. You're about to get educated!
  11. May I send you our pamphlet?
  12. 11 posts. Stop doubling down.
  13. Assuming that we're trying to end racist gestures in sports, the actions by Ukrainian hockey officials are barely acceptable. But maybe a lot better than we would have seen several years ago. It's kind of a non-starter discussion. No one will defend the player's actions or say the UHL did all it could or should. And there should be little doubt that if something like that happened in the NHL, the punishment would be SEVERE. Not sure where we go from here, especially on the topic of ending racism in the world.
  14. We should be nicer to new people. It was easy enough to miss the last few words of a long thread title. @Never NEVER Give-up I apologize.
  15. Ukrainian Hockey League for those curious.
  16. He who? The poster didn't give up though. And the poster is smart. The answer will be found in places like this much more quickly than on some website. You people.
  17. SABRES WATERING HOLE TO RESTRICT ALCOHOL TO SMALL BACK ROOM; UPTIGHT PATRONS HAD COMPLAINED ABOUT 'THE DRINKING'
  18. Someone's living in his own mental mansion it seems. Not everything's about you. I happen to know Paul has come to regret the whole affair. Get over yourself.
  19. WIELAND ADMITS HE REGRETS CREATING TARO T — 'POMPOUS' AND 'INCORRIGIBLE'
  20. Cutting through your usual BS, at this moment — everyone over 65; everyone between 18 and 64 with an underlying condition (not just those who are immunocompromised); and everyone working in an occupation that has high-risk exposure to Covid are recommended to receive a booster. That's a huge swath of the American population. The occupational recommendation is said to encompass 60 million Americans, including grocery store workers. Underlying conditions include hypertension and high BMI, among dozens of other common ailments. Care to count those folks up? You can quibble about the language ("almost wholly endorse"), but, as they say, it's close enough for government work.
  21. I always thought the reaction to Doug coming out was insincere. Vogl thought the same. I have a feeling he won't be missed. Maybe Doug Allen's Gambit was that his people would rise up.
