Well sure. Why he felt the need to fight is the issue. I'm not sure how much he was challenged in some way to fight because he had delivered a clean fight and how much he wanted to make an impression on fans and teammates and/or show how much he loves being here etc. Whatever the reason I find it incredibly sad that a brain injury resulted.

I'll have to watch again but it sure looked like Okposo did the Imperial Air Force of Japan proud too.

It was honestly one of the saddest things I've seen as a fan. I know why it happened but it didn't need to happen. What a tragedy in 2023.

Ya know it's not a zero sum game. No idea what that means... Always wanted to say it. I think what it means is that more decisive moves at the deadline wouldn't have had only costs... The benefit of making the playoffs NOW would be enormous for everyone involved. Of course it could have backfired. As per usual the Sabres were chickenshit.
