  1. Just ignore me, I missed that. That's intriguing then; maybe a lesser version of putting Crosby/Malkin or Toews (?)/PKane on the same line to boost offense when needed.
  2. I wonder if that's because Eichel and O'Reilly only seem to play together on the PP.
  3. The Sabres got 99 problems, but scoring goals against Edmonton ain't one.
  4. Another 2nd assist for Jack.
  5. Eichel only has one hat trick in his career. Bust! (crosses fingers)
  6. I'd imagine this is what it's like watching your team play the Sabres. Get the puck in the O zone, and one of your teammates is open by 15 feet and you have a clear passing lane to get the puck to him. Almost every time.
  7. Yeah, but tonight they're 2nd assists. Bust!
  8. It's nice to hear that one guy trying to start the "Let's Go Oilers" chant.
  9. No, you're right. I think pi needs to update his python packages, the version is behind my RHEL 7.4 system. [bettman@guylafleur 1017 /home/bettman/lotto-management/]$$ python Python 2.7.5 (default, May 3 2017, 07:55:04) [GCC 4.8.5 20150623 (Red Hat 4.8.5-14)] on linux2 Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information. >>> import random >>> random.choice(list(open('nhl17thru31.txt'))) >>> print("Edmonton") Edmonton
  10. Swedish Invasion!
  11. I'm actually GenX, but I identify more with Millenials
  12. I've noticed the phone does look really nice; I'm not sure if it's the more-than 1080p screen or it's so small you don't notice the digital artifacts like you do on a larger screen. One of these days I need to try watching the game on my 4k computer monitor to see what NHL.tv does; if it runs in 4k and/or 60fps, it may be novel enough to watch a few Sabres games.
  13. MrsPie spend nearly a decade in the PNW (Portland and Ashville, OR, mostly) and loves it there. I've never been. I did just look, Buffalo gets 93 days of precipitation per year, Asheville 114, and Seattle 152. I'd certainly give it a shot for vacation someday soon.
  14. Nice. Seamonster theme: Seattle C'thulus Corporate sponsor theme: Seattle Surface 5 Pro (who cares if it doesn't make sense, Microsoft spent a ton of money for the sponsorship)
  15. He's not whining, he's explaining the next play and where to throw the flag.
  16. This and because I *do* have to work tonight. I probably wouldn't bother, but if I'm chained to my desk at home, I might as well put the game on my phone.
  17. I made it myself! It kinda makes me want to set up one of those click-baitey boredpanda.com style things "Top 5 scoring tandems in the NFL -- you won't believe who's number 1!" Start off with Young/Rice, Kelly/Reed, etc.
  18. I recall something like that too. Talk about a fundamental change in the game, can you imagine how the game would be different without out heading the ball?
  19. I don't when that'll happen, but I know it'll be the Millennials' fault.
  20. And after watching the Rangers game, I'm not sure he's bad at tracking the puck. On the third and fourth goals, he knew exactly where the puck was and was looking right at it. The problem was he was 4-5 feet from where he should have been and the net was empty.
  21. Do we have a goalie the Jets might want? :)
  22. MrsPie was just talking about Seattle's Best this morning and how much she liked it. There used to be a Seattle's Best cafe down the street from the shop I took my car. I'd drop it off, set up my laptop and work for a few hours while waiting. Those were the days! PA: If you don't actually like coffee, why not drink some tea? Far easier on your system and tastes better. I will say that (M-x snob-mode) cheap bag tea (Lipton, etc.) isn't that great, you taste way more wet paper than tea. For a test, get some relatively good black tea bags (Wegmans "Just Tea", Stash, or better) and give it a shot. Even better is get a couple scoops of loose tea from Wegs and one of those cheap ball infusers. One teaspoon of tea per 8oz/mug. The per-pound prices on tea are a little daunting, but a pound of tea lasts months, even drinking a couple pots a day. The little Wegmans loose tea bags they give you rarely go over $5 unless you really stuff it in.
