I don't think it is even slightly political, but feel free to delete it if it is... We are rapidly approaching the end of my least favorite time of the year, election sign season. This morning a new one popped up all over the place that says "No tax hike Mike". So will Mike raise taxes or not? I have absolutely no clue from that sign. Also, who is Mike?

Our fans crack me up. I’m seeing a bit of outrage over him calling a couple defensive timeouts, conveniently leaving out that there was obvious confusion on the field each time. There have been issues at times with calling timeouts, but not yesterday.

Jayden Daniels just destroyed his left arm during meaningless football, down 38-7 late. Very ugly injury.

There was pretty clear confusion on the field for at least 3 of those defensive timeouts. I think it was the last one where KC actually snapped the ball while one of the corners wasn’t even facing the play and still talking the the LB about where they should be lining up. They had the one where an incomplete deep pass happened after the timeout, but that only happens because half the players have stopped running after the whistle. Some of those time outs may have actually been game savers. It confused me because the broadcast didn’t even seem to care. But then again, half the time they’re too busy trying to work in a 13 second reference.

That and he was very clearly throwing to the guy standing directly next to him. I swimming if it hit the lineman there with no one anywhere near him then they call it. If you take a look at the top of the running and passing stats you will see exactly what this team needs to be. Cook and Kincaid led the way. It’s a completely different game with Kincaid back and healthy.

The bonus point doesn’t go to the loser, it goes to the OT winner. That’s what happens when you create an artificial decider for ties. I don’t think people are focusing on that point. When you start so horribly, you have to get back to .500 before you get to .580 or whatever. It’s an easily recognizable point. No one is going to be able to look at the standings and say “hey, .580”.

It’s so ridiculously early for a standings assessment like that. Just look at how many teams they leap frog with one single win. In the big picture, would that one win really mean all that much? What does matter is that they dug themselves a big hole to start and have rebounded nicely from it. Can they keep that going and continue to climb?

I will never understand why we always have to have this winning percentage argument. All I know is that I sure am glad the Sabres went 3-0-3 over the last 6 instead of 4-2-0.

It just goes to show you how important it is to get games into overtime. That 3 game “losing streak” has now turned into 9 points in 6 games, a 123 point pace.

Is anyone familiar with Diwali? They moved a festival to the park just behind my house this year. The music they’re playing is absurdly loud. There are a couple events out there during the year and nothing has ever come close to this volume level. My kids can’t sleep because it sounds like I’m in an apartment and the people upstairs are having a party. Is that level of noise typical for a Diwali event?
