  1. It really was an ideal situation for Darby. Corners with any talent seem to work out pretty well in a Rex scheme. Then couple that with having a guy like Glimore already out there, it couldn't get much better. I probably should have left Whaley out of my post all together. A negative against Rex doesn't automatically give Whaley a pass. They can both screw up.
  2. He might not be one to throw anyone under the bus, but I'm completely content with pinning the failures of this defense more on him than anyone else (ie. Whaley). Whaley handed him essentially the same exact defense that was great last year, adding in the potential defensive rookie of the year. I'm not so sure what else Whaley was supposed to do.
  3. How could Fiorina be at any risk since she's from the private sector?
  4. Apparently this possibility is out there for a handful of highly drafted players this year. We'll have to wait and see if any actually hit free agency, but maybe we're seeing a slight change in practice here, more guys willing to take this chance. Only time will tell.
  5. But what's the bitchfest in the comment section about? You can't leave us hanging on this one.
  6. Why not just bring in Bernard Pollard for the marketing campaign?
  7. And some people hit the cliff a bit earlier than others.
  8. So why don't you have these discussions with him instead of ranting it like this for all to see? The whole thing is coming off as very childish from both sides. Now you might respond by trying to point the finger at him. Whether that's true or not, at some point someone needs to take the higher ground and not continue this endless pissing match.
  9. We all know you stole the money from the library.
  10. I won't ignore the possibility, but what I see is a 32 year old on the downside of his career. It's a young man's game now.
  11. I can't wait until the argument about locking a thread about locking a GDT.
  12. I had something happen like that once. I was in the left lane passing someone while it was raining. An all out downpour opened up and I couldn't see a thing in any direction. So I slowed down a bit and held the lane. If I can't see, I'm not changing lanes. After a little bit, I suddenly had a cop behind me who turned on his flashers (whatever you want to call them). I have no idea how he could see anything, but I got the hell out of his way.
  13. I have it on PS3 and I bought it way back on its release date. So it's definitely not a game of the year edition... unless the developer was very arrogant and knew that way in advance.
  14. I just started replaying Arkham City last week. Such a great game. I had a bunch of the DLC, but no clue if it was all of it or not.
  15. I can't help but think of a certain coach who everyone thought wanted to win right away but narrowed his choices down to $$$$ in either Buffali or Toronto.
  16. Byfuglien will be 31 at the end of the year. There's no way I'm giving 6-7 years to a big d-man who is that old. He's going to break down soon just like most of the bigger guys do.
  17. I wish body checking was allowed in everyday life.
  18. Most of the highly regarded college guys who were draft picks wind up gone at the latest by the end of their junior year. A few do wind up staying longer, but it isn't all that common.
  19. Much more than tennis, yes. Let's face it, the men's game is always going to drive the ratings and the American viewing audience has absolutely nothing to watch there.
  20. I think I would have gone for Speith, simply because his game is much higher profile. I know she brought on a big spike, but I still don't think tennis is even remotely on the radar of the viewing audience. That does lead to a much more interesting question though. Does the level of the sport factor into these decisions?
  21. It's a cap dump for next year, plain and simple. Daley hasn't produced a thing and now instead of getting a $3.3 million hit for next year, they instead just get a $2.5 million hit for Scuderi (if my math is right). Any space is worth it, especially with what they lost this past year. It's also very possible that Daley just isn't a fit with that team. I also wonder if they may be at a high risk of a bonus kicking in for Panarin. Any cap reduction next year thanks to that could definitely sting.
  22. I'm going to have to test this on mine later. I've gone up to 90, but I've never tried entering a number over 100.
  23. But does it treat that as 1 minute and 90 seconds or as 190 seconds?
  24. Yep, they Star Treked it. Everything is gone but the last two movies.
  25. Well that was odd...
