How would it work in the courts given that it's an international league? Does it have to be contested in only one of the two countries or would it just be an issue where the league headquarters are located?

Also in there is a link about trying to change the draft age from 18 to 19. Let's ignore for a second whether or not you think it's a good idea. How exactly could they roll out this change? Whenever that happens, you wind up with a year with basically no draft prospects. All of those top 19 year olds would have been drafted the year before and no new pool of prospects is added. The only players remaining are the ones who were not drafted the year before. This, of course, would be the year that the Sabres would win the draft lottery.

Has Tkachuk had a big rise in the past year? I would have sworn when he originally was recruited by BU that he didn't project out anywhere near as high as his brother. I suppose strength of draft class could factor in a bit. And obviously it's super early and things will change, but no canadians until #6. It's always interesting when you see that. It reminds me of 2016 until Dubois suddenly snuck in there.

Eichel leaves a lot of money on the table if he only signs for 4 years, even if it's at that rate. I'm not so sure there's any player/agent combo out there that would take that risk today. Sure, one might say that he's doing it right now, but there a huge difference between 1 year gamble and a 4 year gamble.

A house in our neighborhood was struck by lightning last night. They wound up with an attic fire. I've never seen so many fire trucks fly into a neighborhood rapid fire style. They put it out quickly. It was probably a very good thing that someone was home when it happened. If no one was there to report it quickly, I bet the house would have been a total loss.

For pretty much the entire month, my boss and I have been trying to dig out of a major mistake that someone else made. Basically, this person decided to make a ton of changes to the way data was collected for a project without running them by anyone. His/her changes have made a good portion of the data unusable. We're forced to try to recover it even though the only real solution is to undo all of those changes. Now we just have to convince the unconvincable (apparently that's not a word, but screw you, browser spell check).
